Service is very good and the owner seemed friendly enough, Food is ok. Nothing comparable to top restaurants in London and for the money it was not very good value at all. The next two days we eat at Moma and First Luxury Art hotel, much, much, better (go to these two instead). Also, be careful with the wine recommendation.... More

After reading a review in the Sunday Times, I decided to book this restaurant as a romantic location for dinner for my partner and I. I had high hopes for a great dinner. Located in Hotel Rex, the restaurant is located adjacent to the reception. Another Tripadvisor reviewer had slated the location, but I did not find it noisy or... More

We paid $100 euro per person without wine. We went expecting traditional Italian food but it's really all different cuisines "fusion" and included a curry dish. I don't eat lamb, beef or pork so I really appreciated that they customized a menu for me and I am glad we went for the experience... the service was impeccable; however, we probably... More

Very upset after have a dinner here. With a group of friends we tried Alessandro's cuisine but we didn't like . Worst aspects - The place. It is in the lobby of a small hotel, not nice, not attractive, simply it seems very waste. - The cuisine. Poor quality, poor service, It seems to be a new nouvelle cuisine, but... More

This is definitely the best meal that my wife and I had in Rome. We ordered the surprise menu where we had no idea what we will be having and how many courses will there be. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise and all I can say is that it's money well spent (abt ?100 per pax). The... More

This was a very interesting discovery. All ingredients are combined to bring you on a different world from the decoration details, the location (on an austere hotel) to the size of the place, the quality and the originality of the cuisine of course and the personality of Mr Pipeiro. This is the type of restaurant/ experience we are looking for... More

This place is such a hidden gem and I cannot find an explanation for such a low ranking here. A quite small, intimate (proper distance between tables) yet spacious (high ceilings) space, wonderfully professional and charming service and literally everything that is served creative, beautiful on the plate and delicious. No wonder there's a Michelin star by their name, they... More

We went for the tasting menu at lunch, and were one of only three tables dining. The room is pretty, with vaulted wooden ceilings, an old large fireplace (now converted into storage for after dinner drinks!), modern lighting, and comfortable tables. Mr. Pipero and his staff took excellent care of us, starting with a drink of his house sparkling wine... More

Delightful room, charming host and terrific, accessible yet special, food. A shout out to the linguine with fish sauce. (Why should the divine carbonara get all the kudos? Tho it IS divine.) The beef tenderloin from Todi...yum. Whipped white chocolate with cherries, amaretto crunch and hazelnut gelato. Sigh. Thank you, Alessandro, and thanks to your wonderful chef. Best meal we... More

If you are looking for first class service, an unforgettable dining experience and something just a bit special then look no further than Pipero al Rex. I booked a table for my partner's birthday after reading amazing reviews about the restaurant and we certainly weren't disappointed. The tasting menu was the perfect way to sample michelin-starred cooking at its best... More
