Very good selection of italian dishes at the menu, we had the capriziosa pizza, fetuccini alfredo and lasagna. The portions are good and the prices are very reasonable. We ordered wine by the glass and the waiter was very generous with the amount of wine..these small touches are very much appreciated of course! I would definitely recommend this trattoria.

Saturday lunchtime after much walking and wandering we lunched in this lovely establishment. We were more than pleasantly surprised at both the service, wine and scrumptious food that arrived promptly and politely. All this whilst a political parade was marching nosily past the door. My Bresaola to start with, with rocket and parmigiana was unexpectedly to die for, my Fiance's... More

Modest café, basic food, well prepared, attentive service, moderately priced. The Bolognese sauce over homemade pasta was fresh and delicious. House red wine a perfect compliment.

It's truffle season in Italy! I happened to be in Rome on the 1st of October, and visited la Botte as it was close to our hotel. The pasta was great! So was the pizza but I felt like it was a bit chewy. If you happen to pass by it definitely try the black truffle pasta! Fatma

After dragging around looking for a 'backstreet proper Italian' restaurant, we found this one. The service was good and the food excellent. I would have gone back the following night, but thought it wouldn't do to go back to the same place when there is so much choice, but this is definitely a recommended eatery.

La botte is an abolsute must for anyone traveling to Rome. Super fresh ingredients, extremely rich menu, there is something for everyone. I had their home made ricotta ravioli and they were delicious. The "stinco di maiale" (pork knuckle) which my friends had was also heavenly. We didn't try the pizza but from the look of the people on the... More

We were recommended to go to this restaurant by a member of staff at the hotel where we were staying. We went there three times during our week in Rome. The first time we had an excellent meal including sea-bass and fritto misto with a side of spinach cooked in garlic and olive oil. The ambience was very pleasant, the... More

My husband and I had a great meal here on our last night in Rome. We had antipasto, wine, spaghetti with clams, lasagne, fruit cake and tiramisu. We travel widely and we both agreed it was the best lasagne we had had in ages. Service was attentive and friendly. The menus indicate that "you have to add a 10% service... More

Even the restaurant was very busy, the waiters gave time to Welcome us, felt no hurry at all. Nice atmosphere. The food was excellent. Would go there again anytime.

We are here our second day in Rome and had what we thought was an OK meal in Rome. My husband ordered the lasagna and I ordered the fettuccini Alfredo. He also ordered a birra and I ordered one glass of vino. 60 euros later we left. The fettuccini was small portions and chewy. After staying in italy for two... More
