I would have given this little cafe a maximum rating but I don't believe the prices need to be that high and their food quality could be better for the prices we pay. It is in a prime location area being near the Spanish steps but it is still on a side alley. It is great for a drink and... More

Just walk inside and order your meal at the bar. You choose the dishes in the counter and receive a nice portion of excellent food.

We stayed on via frattina and went out in look of some ice cream before going back to our hotel room. We found this street cafe which had some good looking ice cream so took a seat ready to order, we ordered a coffee and a soft drink but had to wait until after we had finished to have a... More

The menu is a bit pricy for this type of restaurant but Frattina is a nice stop for a quick beer or snack. Its close to Via Del Corso, so it has good people watching.

On a 7 mile walking tour of Rome, we took a break here right off the Spanish Steps and had a cool refreshing mid-day stop on a 104 degree day. Lovely umbrella tables with misters and fans were just what we needed. The macedonia fruit with gelato was so refreshing, others had the pastry basket which only included cookies and... More

Lovely coffee and sandwiches, just across the road of where we were staying! All type of sandwiches loved the ones with mozzarella and tomatoes! And olives! Lovely place for breakfast! Definitely recommended!

We stumbled upon this place after hour and hours of walking Rome streets. Lemon beer is a favourite of mine and surprisingly it was on the menu. Was our first taste of Italian hospitality with olives and crisps offered which was greatfully welcomed. We returned a second day and had lunch which was also great.

Our hotel was just steps away from this place so we went there a few times during our visit for a quick breakfast. Service is okay, don't expect super friendly waiters. The food was good though, the croissant was warm, buttery and soft. Really yummy! I also tried the club sandwich, it was good too. Their drinks are yummy, the... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
