Convenient as its probably the only stop for a quick beverage on via Frattina. Average quality and waiters don't bring you the bill when you ask for it, they just give you a number, usually with 'added' value.

Nice little bar located at in a relatively quiet narrow street right by the Spanish Steps. Not the cheapest place in Rome, but you get some nice complementary snacks with your beverages.

The people at this place were very rude and had no service professionalism the gelato was old and poor. Not worth the stop. Keep going and pass it up.

We had an early pick up for our visit to the Vatican and this was the only place open in the area. Great cappuccinos (rated 4.5 by my wife) and fresh croissants and pastries. I stood along side various local workmen calling in on their way to work, which must be a good recommendation. During the late afternoons we stopped... More

We sat here for an aperatif or two after having walked all over mankind. The wine was delicious and the people-watching was super fun. Aperatifs were effective in killing my hanger.

Well sized coffee bar. The pastries looked delicious, but I didn't try. Probably god for breakfast and lunch, or just a quick coffeebreak as in ny case.

Look out for huge drinks - trebles at least and enjoy the snacks served with them - a party of 4 - 3 alcoholic drinks and a soft drink, we got a tray with a huge bowl of crisps, a bowl of huge green olives, 4 small sandwiches, 4 vol au vents and a variety of savoury breaded snacks with... More

Extremely rude staff and lousy food. This is a tourist trap and nothing more. We would never go near the place again. Walk another block or two and you will find many fine restaurants with nice people who want to serve you.

This bar is a few steps from the apartment we rent on via frattina and it literally became a second home. We go there for our morning coffee and a quick bite. We also stop for a hot chocolate (to die for), a snack a day a drink and brunch. In addition to the lovely food, coffee a day hot... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
