Lovely Owners

We stopped in for a glass of wine and a snack, and were greeted like long lost friends. The older couple who run this cafe do not speak a lot of English but they are so warm and welcoming that it feels like being in their own home. We talked to some other people who said they had very good... read more

Disappointing experience. We ordered an omelette and thought the toast was included, but it cost an additional 4 euros along with coffee this was quite an expensive omelette for 2 at 32 euros. Just be sure you are getting what yo order and pay only for what you want.

Stayed at Marriott around the corner and visited here twice. Gelato was fantastic. Best we had in Rome or on Amalfi coast. Fresh and homemade, for sure. Also have fresh homemade whipped cream on top. We loved the coconut gelato best and went back for more. Don't miss if you are in the area. Owner tried to get us to... More

We desire above all things authentic food and experiences, and this lovely little cafe is worth every cent. The family greet you as a long lost friend would , and make you feel like a local. The food is fast and delicious, the coffee strong and starts the heart wonderfully. We loved it.

We expected to have a nice breakfast there. Well, it was ok. The "bread" was just a thin slice of white toast, the croissants definitely not the best we had in town. Coffee was ok, but nothing more. Don't think we will go back...

We were sent here by our hotel while waiting for our room to be ready. We had a light lunch of pannini and gelati. The service was friendly and charming and the food was very good.

Three families went to Italy together a couple years ago and eating here several times is one of our favorite memories! It's a small, family-run restaurant with incredible baked goods, great dinners, and just a feeling of really immersing oneself in the big-city culture of Rome without being overwhelmed by it.

As we walked past Cafe Lotti toward the restaurant Sardegna (which by the way was excellent) Luigiana Lotti was coming out of her cafe toward her home (almost next door to her cafe). She immediately smiled and took us inside her cafe which is nothing more than historic. All I can say is that within minutes we felt like family.... More

I visited that shop when i travel at Rome. The staffs are mid aged but very very good services to talk with us. When they knew, we love traditional snack of Italy. They reommend a lot to us and explain for each one. Very very. Some of the cakes are very yummy.

We are that kind of travelers who would be happy even if we spend time in a place 2 minutes away from where we stay. this cafe lotti has all the ingredients to make a memorable moment: great patisserie, great coffee, wide assortment of cakes and sweets, all home made. And the the owners, they just pampered us with their... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
