Good food but expensive

The manager of my hotel recommended this restaurant and after I went around the Colosseum I stopped here for a early dinner. Service was friendly and the pasta was lovely. However, place is very pricy, especially the beer!

We had been eating in a lot of local restaurants; Caffe Propaganda was a little more elevated in decor, menu, and, yes, price. We stopped for a delicious lunch one day and in fact returned a week later for our last lunch in Rome. There were some light, innovative options, such as pressed duck salad with really interesting greens. They... More

First of all, three steps from the Coliseum is always convenient if you are a visitor to Rome. The ambiance and decor are simply wonderful, and for that alone you are never in a hurry to leave. Should you have to wait for a table - and at a place as great as this, lunch and dinner are crowded -... More

This place is in a very convenient location, and is one of the nicer sit-down restaurants in the area. However, prices are relatively high and food is decent. That said, order the veal with tuna fish sauce from the appetizer menu. Exceptional dish that can't be found anywhere else in Rome.

We walked by this place a few times and finally went there... What a cool place - and busy too! We shared shrimp on toast, pasta and pesto and shared an Angus Kabob that in reality was a wrap(!). All very tasty! Finished it off with Oban 18.

Decided to check it out since we were in the area and it was recommended, and glad we did. We first had an early dinner with dessert (of course). The meal was delicious, as expected, but the desserts featuring wild strawberries were amazing. We then went back a couple hours later for drinks. This is where they really shine. The... More

Fantastic Caico & Pepe, Propaganda Salata, & Pink Shrimps appiteazer. Caico & Pepe is an al dente Roman Pasta dish that is delightful to the palate. The Propaganda Salad has smoked duck pieces & berries served over a mix summer bed of lettuce that is Fantastic! I shared this with my husband. The Pink Shrimps starter was a little chancy... More

After visiting colosseum we walked around try to find something not touristic! That place was just what I had in my mind. Excellent in everything. We were 2 adults and two kids and we ordered 2 starters, one nice pasta with pomondoro and nice herbs one big salad with artichoke- one of the best I ever had! The children wanted... More

A trendy bar and restaurant near the coloseum. Propaganda offers excellent cocktails and decent fusion food. Delicious starters. Highly reccomned the baked salmon. The interior is quite beautiful and the crowd is mostly a happening roman set. The staff is good locking, charming and fun. Had a great will time, will be going back.

Hands down the best carbonara I have ever tasted! If you have a weekend in Rome, make sure you fit in a trip to this restaurant. You won't regret it. The staff are lovely and the menu comes in a broadsheet newspaper style - super trendy. Food is delish and beautifully presented.
