They don't inflate prices because it is near the coliseum (Which is very rare in Rome). It has good food and prices are not bad. It is near a metro-line, the coliseum and the park.

I live and work in Rome, and hence I have spent a substantial amount of time looking for good places to eat. This is a place we come to every time we have managed to save up enough tip-money (work in the reception of a hotel), and the food is simply divine non-cliché italian food, and service is good as... A lovely little restaurant at the bottom of some steps about 10 minutes from The Colosseum. The food is very fresh, so fresh that the menu is hand written daily by the chef. Service is good, the house wine is fantastic and the food is excellent and well priced!

This is one of the best restaurants in Rome. We visited twice during our 1 week holiday. The degustation 5-course menu prepared daily by the Chef is to die for... Every plate was better than the last one. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem, neatly tucked away in a side street just off Cavour. Recommended

We bumped into C&C by chance on our first day in Rome, starting off a six week holiday in Sicily and Sardinia, and back to Rome via Genoa and Florence. Our first visit spoiled us for the rest of our stay! When we came back to Rome, we headed straight back for lunch, and the waitress remembered us. What more... More

We ducked into this unassuming restaurant during a vicious thunderstorm and were pleasantly surprised. A blackboard on the wall listed the menu of the day. We were quickly seated an ordered the potato gnocchi with zucchini and a salad. The gnocchi were moist and clearly made with fresh potato as opposed to potato flour. A grating of parmesan cheese and... More

We ate from the "Menu of the day" at lunch on our last day in Rome. This was unfortunate as without doubt this was the best food we had during our 5 days and if we had found this little gem earlier we would undoubtedly have used it frequently. We were treated to beautifully cooked and expertly seasoned and flavoured... More

Finding ourselves in the area, following a visit to the Coliseum and with no knowledge of where to eat, this was recommended on tripadvisor. What a find! Truly tantalising from beginning to end - and with really excellent service from Elise, who also described each dish in English which really helped. Having very nearly not had an antipasti - what... Excellent food. Innovative dishes. Nice wine list and great service. Happy and cheerful waiters. Compliments to the chef. Definitely worth trying.
