I have to believe this place is most often only visited by locals, or tourists who are lucky enough to know about it. It's not well advertised, from what I recall, and it's off the beaten path (even in the middle of the city). My daughters and I had spent another great day exploring this amazing city, and as is... In Rome for first time and on a wet January evening. Notwithstanding scepticism about Trip Advisor it led us to this charming eaterie up a "dead end" in a quiet street at the bottom of some steps. Immediate welcome from lovely staff who embarassed me with better English than my Italian. Wine by the glass at a very reasonable 5€... More

absolutely delicious food, the wine list was good but a bit pricey, i have eaten in a lot of italian restaurants and the mark up on some good (but not exceptional) wines is too much. Portions could be a little bit bigger but overall the food, ambience and the staff are all top notch, will definitely go back!

in the easy street near to colosseum, next to metro station Cavour you'll find this hidden gem. go for tasting menu, it is one of the best quality/price ratio in town, and Rome is a big one ;) so modern but still delicius!

This restaurant came highly reviewed and we were excited to try it after stopping by the day before when it was closed for the Epiphany holiday. The menu changes daily so it is limited by what is fresh for the day - I enjoy this approach rather than having a huge menu with lots of choices none of which are... More

We noticed this restaurant on the way to the San Pietro in Vincoli earlier today, checked out the ratings and went there for dinner. We started with the ricotta appetizer - we ordered one portion to split and they served us double the portion. The fettuccine may be the best I've ever had - with pear, pistachio, anise... Two of... We came here late September 2014 due to a quick search on tripadvisor. It was a very well rated restaurant and it deserves all the applause it gets. We knew we wouldn't be able to read the menu but upon entering we actually couldn't even guess what any of it was and actually said we were going to leave as... More

My husband and I had an unforgettable meal here, with excellent service. The restaurant is small and romantic, great for a date. We got in without a reservation at 8pm, and had an amazing meal with complimentary appetizers :) The tiramisu was unconventional and awesome - order it and you will see what I mean. Come here if you want... More

I enjoyed a great dinner at Cuoco & Camicia. I had the calamarata pasta with shrimps and tomatoes, the ingredients were very fresh and tasty. Even the bread was fresh and homemade. I would definitely recommend this and would happily go back any time. The restaurant is located in a quiet street in the Monti area but it's very easy... More

Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt.
