Perfect modern Roman bistro

Traditional Italian dishes with a modern twist. Lots of great specials. Great choice of wines and friendly attentive service. Can't be faulted, would eat here again and again.

We ate here in June during a 3 day trip to Rome as recommended by OM2 Rome and were not disappointed. We booked for the Saturday night and we were glad we did, as the restaurant had to turn people away they were so busy! What an amazing truly Italian evening- Service was fantastic and the food couldn't of been... More

We had checked out reviews on Tripadvisor for this restuarant and decided to head there for an early dinner after we were done with our tour of the Vatican City. Fabio attended to us and we were thoroughly impressed with his patience in giving us space to decide on our choices. The dishes were of a high standard and good... More

We found this restaurant through Tripadvisor while looking for somewhere good to eat locally. We can only reiterate what so many others have said. Really great food at very reasonable prices. So many unusual taste combinations , friendly staff and clean trendy decor. We ,like a previous couple, booked a table for the following evening whilst eating our main course !... More

We came in out of the rain and were forced into Mamma Roma by accident. What I really think happened was divine intervention because words cannot describe our experience at Mamma Romma! I believe we were served by the owner and he couldn't have been more genuine. We were first treated to the best antipasto tray that I have ever... More

We just had dinner at Mama's. Normally, the bread is a great metric for the quality of the food. Well, here is one exception to that rule. We started out with a classic - Caprese Salad. It was wonderful and served with greens in addition to the classical ingredients The three main courses were ok (steak and chips), and excellent... More

As we rented an appartment nearby, so happy that start of our prolonged weekend in Rome started here. It was Friday evening, and although we did nor reserve, great bistrot team find us the the table. My mum, sister and I enjoyed the evening. As there were few couples around us, I am sure that going there with my husband... More

I came across Mamà on Foursquare, where it has a rating of 9.1 based on about 160 reviews. I had the tuna tartare, seafood linguine, and tiramisu. The tuna tartare is refreshing with the citrus flavour. The seafood linguine has the perfect balance of flavours, but would have been better if there are greater seafood to pasta ratio. Contrary to... More

Recommended by our B&B host we went twice and would have gone again if we had stayed longer. Staff went out of their way to help us select the right dishes (we speak no Italian) even though we (initially) arrived on a Saturday night without a reservation. Food was excellent, service outstanding. Highly recommend

Went to the Vatican tour and was looking for somewhere to eat after. The first place we found was busy but service was poor. Luckily we just ordered drinks so we looked On trip advisor and found this restaurant. I am so glad we came here as every thing was amazing!

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
