Good food, nice ambiance and service

What I always like about travelling is going to restaurants that are under the radar. This one is great because you can see that the locals all go. The food was great and so was the service!

Stuffed fried olives seem to be a thing in this area. Theirs are fine. Prompt friendly service, worrisome menu in English but most customers local , or at least Italian. Decent food, modest prices. No complaints.

Went there just because it was close to our hotel. But it was a very pleasant surprise. From the road it looks like nothing, but inside it's very pleasant. The waiters are dressed like munks. The food is amazingly good.

In December 2014 I went to this restaurant with my colleagues for a business lunch and we found a nice traditional environment and good both meat and fish based dishes. Not too expensive and good to spend a lunch in relax.

We actually enjoyed this restaurant very much. It is not in the center of Rome and is located in the EUR district of Rome so you will need to drive to this area from the center. Yes, the reviews are quite correct in saying that the service is pretty bad. They definitely do need to work on that but doubt... More

Its started bad. First we arrived at 18:30 and we realize that this restaurant start on 19:00. It's common in Italy. We decided to skip and go elsewhere and come back day later. The restaurant is outside sitting and great potential.we arrived and we were lead to the table.  Table beside us were smoking and we ask the guys to... More

I went there because I am staying at a nearby hotel and read the reviews.I would never return. I ordered a caprese, tomato and mozzarella dish...terrible..the tomato was nearly white and hard as a rock...left most of that on the table. Made a mistake and ordered bruschetta which also contains tomato...same thing. Had swordfish...it arrived as a 1/8 inch slice,... More

Lo Convento was recommended to us by staff at our hotel (Pulitzer) as its nearby and pretty good. Its a little hairy to get to it you're walking (you basically have to walk down a slip road) but its a friendly, family oriented place with reasonably priced good food. I had the fettucini with mushrooms with roman artichoke on the... More
