Great little spot.

My friend and I discovered this place on our last night in Rome. It was right near our hotel. We had red wine (so good). I had a greek salad (best feta cheese ever), rissotto, and we split dessert (taster of 7 mini desserts). Our server gave us a shot of lemoncella after our meal. The... read more

Went here three times during my weekend in Rome- once for coffee, once for a meal (pizza!) and once for lunch (antipasti). Very impressed and would definitely visit again next time I'm in Rome. Really amazing atmosphere throughout the day, staff were great and the decor was quirky too.

Amazing cocktails. Super nice staff. I had an earl grey infused gin cocktail that was one or the most fantastic alcoholic beverages I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. My husband had a vodka cocktail with strawberry, lime, and raw sugar. So good.

My wife and I had a lovely romantic dinner there on our last night in Rome. We had their meat lasagna and 'Arrosto' (chicken), fizzy water and Mediterranean salad. The bill came to 32 euros.

Had the great opportunity to stumble upon this jewel while walking from my hotel. The service was cheerful and fun. The vibe, atmosphere and music is very cool. The manager Lorenzo made my experience very fun with small talk (in English) as I enjoyed a pint and a very good pizza. I came back late one night for a night... More

The AM is a very relaxed venue, and the staff is friendly and does a good job. The problem is that the food is really nothing very special. The meal I had here was definitely over priced in terms of the quality. Nothing at all creative, by the way. Really, a very average experience. Beverages are pricey, btw. I would... More

You'll have to find Anima Mundi, but the search will be well worth it. The staff are terrific, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the food choices are excellent, and the prices are about standard. We took shelter here during a Roman storm, tucking into a superb Caprese salad and a designer beer while the rain pelted outside. I was... More

Good food with options for vegetarians! We ate there every night while staying a short distance away at the Kolbe Hotel. The service was friendly and the prices were good (relative to many other Roman restaurants).

We came here based on reviews. The worst food we ate in Rome over 11 days. The drinks were very good but the dining experience was terrible. I've had better frozen pizza and the chicken and sausage was like eating rubber. If you want a cocktail this is a good choice but avoid, avoid, avoid the food!

Neighborhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighborhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
