Great find

Walked past this after busy morning sightseeing on way back to Hotel 47 and popped in for lunch. Excellent laid back service, good selection of beers, great pizza. Close to a really beautiful little church

Excellent spot! great vibe and awesome food. We came here on our honeymoon and loved it so much we ate here the night before leaving and definitely hope tome come back. The staff is great and the menu is great for vegetarians and carne lovers alike (aka my situation) so finding a place that is a 10/10 for us is... More

There aren't that many places near the hotel we stayed at (Kolbe) but Anima Mundi is only about a block away. They have a good beer selection and a very good wine list. The servers are attentive and let us sample before we picked a wine. We actually ended up going there twice (one lunch and one dinner) since it... More

Enjoyed a cold beer here after a long day of sightseeing in ancient Rome and the Via Appia Antica. Sat outside on a comfortable wicker couch on a beautiful patio with a great view of the Arco di Giano, near the Bocca della Verita. We had dinner plans, otherwise we would have dined here because the atmosphere was wonderful. Our... More

The perfect place to unwind in the evening. Air conditioned inside, good choice of outside seating (tall chairs around barrels or low sofas) - looking at the ancient ruins of Palatine. Great selection of drinks (including several German beers on tap), and surprisingly good quality and variety food for such a small place. Nice and friendly staff - from the... More

We have tried to have a dinner in a nice restaurant, recomended by trip advisor, but ot was closed at 10pm. So we searched around and found this amazing place. We really recommend it. The service is great. They made us a very nice plate with ham and cheese. Then thin slices of veal for the main course, and all... More

A quirky little bar/restaurant just down the street from the Kolbe Hotel. Friendly staff, nice food and drinks. Extreme sports videos playing on TV which is great to watch. Tables and chairs both inside and outside

June 19th and June 20th. My family and I ate here twice. The pizza was amazing. In addition, the pesto pasta was delicious. The gnocchi was the best I had ever had. They also have several delicious Italian and German beers. Lorenzo waited on us the first day and was one of the best waiters we have had while in... More

The food is delicious, authentic....and our waiter was one of the most interesting people we met in Rome. He told us the legends of the ruins in our immediate surroundings and made the meal perfect. We had pizza, pasta and a caprese salad.....and Italian beers. Wonderful!

We had a late dinner and drinks and definitely enjoyed both. We were a little surprised when a charge for the bread basket showed up on our bill. It wasn't a big cost but since we had not asked for it I don't think we should have been charged for it. It also took a while to get our waitresses... More

Staying in Aventine

Neighborhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighborhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
