It has one of the best places I've ever been to. Definitely worth to go, and try something very very Italian within the city fool of fake Italian food and fool of tourist's traps. Maybe doesn't look perfect from outside, but is has "the spirit" you will be looking for in Rome. I quite sure about it.

This restaurant was recommened to us, as a place to have lunch before visiting The Vatican. We arrived around 01, and The restaurant rapidly filled up. The atmosphere is Nice and rustic. We started with a glass Of wine each, and then had some antipasti. We went on with a baccala each, which was very good. And at last we... More

We had lunch here and it was so good we went back and waited patiently the next day to eat there again. We would have had dinner there too but it was fully booked, and it was closed on Sunday which was our last day, otherwise we would have made it a hat trick. Seemed full of locals as the... More

We love this place and have been often. Best value Spritz in the Prati district. Reminds me of Balmain in my hometown of Sydney!! Be prepared to stand while having your drink as it gets very crowded - but that adds to the atmosphere. Very popular place, with people spilling out onto the street with drink in hand. Very generous... More

Spent most nights there early evening having few drinks and snacks. Gets busy later as is very popular with locals. Staff are very nice and friendly and welcomed us. Near to the Atlantic Star hotel where we stayed for a week. Enjoy Rome

Good was good, limited English menu so we had to ask the waiter to translate, after which we ordered pasta that wasn't anything to write home about. Took ages to be seated and the waiter didn't come back with my change! Overall ok, I wouldn't go back

This restaurant is a really nice place to eat, drink and chill. During my stay in Rome I spent two times here trying out their wine, cheese and ham. The waiters are really service minded and suggested perfect matches of wine and food. I specially liked the Italian Cinta Senesa ham, this was really a worthy competitor to the pata... More

We love Il Sorpasso. People milling outside, crowds jammed in the bar area and the back room is full with bookings. The place is alive with activity - staff and customers enjoying the whole experience. Then there are the aromas from the prosciutto and cheeses strategically placed near the front door. Unless you are staying near the Vatican it may... More

We used to go here every night around 5.30pm for a little drink before we went out for tea, it's a good job to as it seems really popular with the locals and about 6.30 the place is rammed. My girlfriend loves cocktails and this place was perfect. Also you get a plate of free bread, meat and cheese. Which... More
