Good quality, but not quantity

Kind of long to get a table for 6. The food is very good but if you eat here don't expect to leave satiated with only one dish.

Great food, excellent service, generous portions at a low price! If I lived in Rome, I would be a regular! If visiting the Vatican, stay away from the tourist trap placed close by and make an effort to come here. You won't regret it!

Went here with three friends who live in Rome tonight and had a terrific experience. We arrived early (around 7) and the place was deserted, yet we were told that we could only use our table until 8:30 PM as the place was booked. With two indoor spaces and outdoor seating, we wondered if this was really the case. But... More

Located close to the Vatican, we were so happy to find this lovely restaurant with great food and lovely staff. Pricing is good and very reasonable. We tried Trapizzino for the first time here- very good. The ham is all hand sliced. Dessert was worth it too- an apple baked in puff pastry served with a rum custard. Must visit... More

This has to be one of the best meals we have every had! So glad we found this place. We like it so much we went 2 nights in a row. Made our experience in Rome! The food is fantastic - fresh pasta, great steak, wonderful fish, tasty meats - proscuitto etc... would pay 3X the amount they charge in... More

Any place that take that much care for their Prosciutto just makes me happy. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. Our waiter spoke english well enough to get us excited about each course. The wild boar aged 5 years was one of the best things I've ever eaten along side some really interesting cheeses. Perfect pastas and... More

Stumbled upon this restaurant by accident one morning while visiting Rome. Needed a cappuccino badly and was taken care of by the quiet lady behind the bar. Started noticing the gorgeous meats hanging behind me - cured ham hocks, deer, other game - and cheeses too. Looked over the menu and was very curious. Came back later that night and... More

This wonderful meal revived us after several hours shuffling with the hoardes through the Vatican museum. Vino, salumi, formaggi, paste, and the interesting snacks of a triangular bread filled with hot deliciousness: chicken, meatball, pesto. This is NOT an ordinary tourist restaurant. It made us regret wasting our limited precious mealtime in Italy on boring, ordinary food.

We were just checking out restaurants on our arrival in Rome and sought out this restaurant recommended by a guide. It looked like a great little place - but they did not have any tables left for that evening. We must have looked hungry as they relented and seated us very early for dinner. We were the only ones there... More

We were lucky to get the last table on the street, with all the other tables crowded with locals enjoying aperitivo. We had heard that the steak was good so ordered a ravioli starter then a steak. Everything was exceptional. The ravioli stuffed with cheese and pepper in a saffron sauce was incredibly delicious and the steak was one of... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
