YUMMY, healthy, fresh, vegan

Ordered custom vegan sandwich and got a great smoothie. Servers very nice and spoke English (really well!). Very fresh and flavorful, healthy and vegan, and delish! Good prices, too. Wish they had a better seating situation, though.

I felt so lucky I found this place. It is very close to the Vatican, small, quite a line outside but worthy of the waiting time. Salad and smothies were so good! So many options and choices. They speak perfect english and I have seen many locals eating there so I think it is quite popular. Very nice! Bravo!

This was great! The food was fresh and delicious and made with love...and reasonably priced (€4 a sandwich)! I went with a friend-- were both vegetarian and figured we'd get a few veg sandwiches before going to the Vatican (we felt we'd overdone the pizza!!). We were walking along the Vatican walls and made a quick turn to see if... More

Stopped into this little canteen after a visit to the Vatican. It’s just a couple of blocks away. I had heard about it from a travel blog (Revealed Rome). It’s surely off the beaten path. The proprietor could not have been nicer. He spoke perfect English, was very easy to talk to, and wonderfully attentive. It was later in the... More

Another rainy day in Rome, after the tour of the Vatican museums and Basilica, we sought out this little café for some re-charging. Small, but luckily we got seats because of the weather (it seats about 6 people). Very good options for salads and sandwiches. Very fresh as everyone says and tasty. The proprietor was extremely helpful, professional and spoke... More

Had a very tasty sandwich and fruit juice here, both of which are made fresh right in front of you. A nice change from the standard, stodgy Italian food (as lovely as it is). My only criticism would be that the sandwiches were slightly on the small side. Well worth a visit for lunch.

After weeks of pizza, pasta and standard Italian fare, Fa-Bio was a welcome surprise. Located close to the Vatican museum, this is a good place to go for lunch after a morning museum trip. A wide range of ingredients all fresh and delicious. Sandwiches and salads are available. The staff is very friendly and the chef walked me through his... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
