Great food, service, location and shisha of course!

Visited 3 times while in Rome for a long weekend. The staff are great, remember what you have when you revisited, always chatting and recommend great dishes. The food is fantastic, very fresh, great tomatoes! Smoking some shisha on a hot, sunny day here is a must. Can't wait to go back!

Overpriced tourist trap. Food is OK but the prices are inadequate for service. You have to wait in a line to get place to sit. Avoid.

Stopped for lunch whilst perusing the market in the square , the staff were friendly and the menu was good . The pizzas were great. Reasonably priced too.

We stated 3 nights in Roma and one our second night we ate here. the look of the place is nicer than other other restaurants in the piazza and the menu had great variety. we shared a bruschetta and had a fantastic pasta main each. we then shared a reasonable priced dessert. the price for that and a bottle of... Great location - Ok food - Tourist service; all completely ruined by active policy of offering shisha to quite a few customers. Except this is not Istambul or the middle East. AVOID in the evening

While wandering around Rome in the rain and feeling very hungry, we decided to eat at Maranega. Probably not the best move when you're slap bang in the middle of a tourist trap piazza, so I was very sceptical about what we would get. However I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were all very friendly and... More

After tasting good food while in Florence, we figured "everything in Italy must be good!" We were hit with a brick of reality when we had our first dinner in Rome at this place. the restaurant itself looks good on the outside but the atmosphere was horrible unless you want to smoke hookas on your table or you are a... In the bustling Campi di Fiori, whatever the weather, Maranega is the place to be. With a wonderful outdoor seating area surrounded by pyramidal flame heaters, you can sit and enjoy a light lunch, full dinner or wonderful desserts, accompanied by the best shisha in Rome. Michael and his colleagues were all exceptionally attentive and polite and made the entire... More

After a long day of walking we found our way to Campo de' Fiori and the wonderful market... we saw the spectacle at the market and decided for a late lunch. Maranega was our choice and we had a lovely table outside. Excellent service brought us really good food and wine at a reasonable price. The view of a busting... More

The location and menu pulled us in to this restaurant where we had a comfortable table outside in the plaza with heaters to keep us warm. Service was excellent, the food missed in a couple spots but most of our group enjoyed their meals. I thought the fried seafood appetizer was weak (mostly calamari). I had grilled prawns which smelled... More
