Great Location, Great Food.

We had a really pleasant experience at Marenga. Campo die Fiori became our favorite spot. The square is much smaller than Piazza Novona, the musicians in the square were really good…unlike the circus acts elsewhere. Service was great (not always the case in Italy!) we had multiple waiters tending... read more

Stopped here for a 'brunch' as I wanted to buy spices at the market here and my son and husband were famished. I kept trying to tell them they should wait and just get some great fresh cut fruit offered by the farmers ...but no. They wanted 'a meal'...like an American breakfast. BIG MISTAKE. The omelet my hubby had was... More

I have never before been to Italy but this place is amazing. I do tend to be quite fussy; always looking for the perfect spot with just the right ambiance. This place has it all. Music, drinks and oh the FOOD! My favorite was the Chardonnay with the spicy penne. Even made new friends from Mexico and Egypt. Nothing to... More

Maranega is a triple threat with it's great staff, great location in Campo dei Fiori and foremost its food and drinks.. Being there on several occasions, the food has always been outstanding - the highlight was definitely that it is one of the only places in Rome where you receive a good variety of salads with a proper sauce (meaning,... Excellent service The food was delicious from the salad, the stake, the pasta and the deserts. Really a place to mark and return on the next trip to Rome. Enjoy

The owner was the most unbearable and disrespectful man I have ever met. The place is a tourist trap: don't fall for their discounted menu. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there.

I went twice to Maranega for dinner, once with my family and once as part of a larger party, and both times it was a great experience. The atmosphere is very family friendly, and my eight-year-old son is such a fan of the food -- and the waitstaff (who are very accommodating and attentive) -- that he has declared it... More

I've always heard that when I visited Rome, not to be excited about the food because it's meant to be terrible! They were right... however we had our best meal in Rome at Maranega. I ordered a peppercorn steak which was cooked perfectly and my wife ordered some croquettes and gnocchi which is absolutely loved. The drinks were great and... More

Looked for a restaurant to have something small and stopped here. Didnt regret i did...very friendly staff, fast service, good food and fair price. No hidden extras like in some other small restaurants. There were tourists and locals so must be ok. Definatly would go again.
