Great food and atmosphere

I went to Sue & Giu for dinner. I skipped the antipasto and "il secondo piatto" and only took "il primo piatto" and a dessert. I chose "Farfalle alla Contadina" - butterfly-shaped pasta with sausage, mushrooms and chicory. For dessert I took Panna Cotta. Both tasted wonderful. And the price was... read more

Nine of us had a wonderful meal in this little restaurant in Prati. Delicious food and very friendly service. We had lived in Rome for a year, and wished we had known of this restaurant back then. My husband's carbonara was delicious, our niece had sausage and fennel pasta (which we all envied). The lasagne-like appetizer was terrific. Make reservations... More

This little family restaurant makes different dishes each night, and we enjoyed sampling some of the regional specialties. It is important to book, because there are not many tables. The family welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home. We liked that it isn't very touristy, but seems to cater to local residents.

Excellent night. We tried specialities of the region and of the restaurant - highly recommended as food was very tasty. They didn't push lots of courses at us which was good. We shared from starters, first course and dessert which was plenty of food for 2. Service was very good and attentive. Limoncello to finish a lovely night.

A small and warm restaurant with friendly staff. I tried the ear shaped pasta and that was so delicious.

Recommended by the owner of our B&B, this family owned business could not have been nicer people. I felt like a guest invited to a family dinner. The Tortellini Grecia was absolutely the best meal I have ever had, including some high priced steak and lobster places I have eaten at. My wife had a huge bowl of Buccini which... More

It was wonderful to find a family-run restaurant on our last night in Rome where we experienced a truly great meal. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful despite the language barrier - recommending wines to match the food and suggesting cheeses to add that would complement not ruin the flavour of a particular pasta... This was such an awesome dining experience. We were looking for something close to our hotel and relied on good trip advisor reviews. The staff is incredibly friendly (father, mother, son and daughter-in law) and gave great recommendations on the homemade dishes and other local favorites. We loved our meal and the tiramisu was great. Not a touristy place at... More

My Mum is from Toscana so she knows a thing or two about good Italian cooking We found Siu e Gui through trip advisor and booked a table. It was full when we arrived we sat upstairs and the waiter took time to explain the menu with pride and an obvious passion for the food . We learned it is... More

We visited this restaurant in June 2015 as it was close to our hotel and had good recommendations here on Tripadvisor. The food was absolutely delicious and freshly made. I had the spaghetti carbonara and it was very good! Very friendly staff and the decoration of the restaurant is very nice. Lots of local people having dinner here.

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
