Great Food and Excellent Service

This small family run restaurant on a quiet street was a local recommendation. We were a group of 8 with 4 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 children. The menu provided good variety and everyone enjoyed their meals. The house wine is wonderful. We especially want to mention the delightful Maria who... read more

We visited Su & Giu Cucina Romana on July 14, 2015 for dinner. The summary is great food, attentive service and very friendly owners who spoke to us often during and after the meal, and all at reasonable price. Highly recommended by discerning Canadians!

We decided to go here when we met a friend who was visiting the Vatican. Finding a place near the Vatican which is good is close to impossible. After reading the reviews both in English and Italian this place seemed to be the spot. Was delighted with the fried squid but when the pasta came it was like I have... More

We ate at Su & Giu on July 8, 2015. We loved it! Hands down, Anna provided the most friendly, prompt service and with great detail described the scrumptious specials for the evening. The house wine was very good for being a "house wine". The succulent and tender pork served with roasted potatoes was delicious. The ravioli was great, only... More

This small restaurant provides authentic local food with a wide choice of dishes. It was recommended to us by locals and they were not wrong. The service was attentive and friendly and we were given a free appetiser of deep fried zucchini flower which was delicious. We ordered way too much food, all of which was excellent and then free... Visited for dinner since we stayed in the neighborhood. Delicious fodder and great service. The lamb was one the best ever tasted - try it if on today's menu.

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
