Nice affordable place!

We went to this restaurant due to the reviews here and the fact that it was 2 blocks from where we were staying. Apparently they have a new administration - huge sign on the door - but not sure how long it's been going on. We seated in the furthest back area, which is nicely and more "italiany... read more

Considering its proximity to one of Rome's major tourist attractions this place is very reasonably priced and with good food(not the best pasta eaten in Rome as it was not home-made). The aubergine/parmesan starter was amazing and the portion sizes were good for the money paid. The waitress was friendly and polite(not always the case in Rome we've discovered). All... More

After two days of pizza and pasta in touristic areas, we decided to try this genuine restaurant. We had the fixed fish/seafood menu (20 euro pp). We got to try seven different dishes in total, all were delishious. The waiter (owner?) was very hospitable and explained each course with passion. Highly recommended!

We were very pleased with our visit here. Lovely decor and incredibly welcoming and friendly staff. We were two families with 4 your kids and waitstaff were extremely attentive and helpful. Food was fresh and excellent. The set menus are particularly excellent value. We had an excellent Rosso included in the menu. Considering this is located so close to the... More

Only a bar with some tables to have lunch and dinner: welcome is not so warm, also service is very simple without any "plus". Price are quite high compared with such dishes and service, justified only with Colosseo's proximity. Raw materials are not so valuable. Reviewers at L'Espresso restaurants guide should had eat better in this "trattoria" reading their review,... More

I am Italian, living in Rome, and I regularly come to this restaurants for my meals, several times a week. Food quality is very high and service is friendly and, I dare say, impeccable. I can confidently recommend l'Invincibile to anyone, locals or visitors. Fish-lovers should go to Friday and Saturday nights "fraschetta", when a diverse range of delicious sea-food... More

As I have already experienced very high prices near Vatikan museum, so I decided to check a place for lunch in advance, as we planed to spend the whole morning in Colosseum and Forum Romania, so I found this nice restaurant and we went there at 13.30 for a quick lunch, my friend took one of the suggested lunch menus,... We visited this restaurant on our honeymoon in Rome. We were initially slightly dubious about eating here as it was so close to the Colosseum and we were worried that it might be there to cater to the tourists with average food. It also appeared to be quite empty. However we had read some good reviews on here so wanted... More

We originally weren't going to go in as it looked empty but it turns out that the main dining area was towards the rear hence why it looked empty. The staff were very friendly and when we were offered dessert the lady recommended a couple to us and brought out a selection of three for us to share which we... More

I have had a late dinner in this typical Roman restaurant located very close to the Colosseo. Very fresh ingredients, a superb Tiramisu, the choices of the chef from Turin and lovely chat of its Roman owners put the place in my favourite list. Try also their home made cakes, if you feel already too full, take one slice for your... More

Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
