We were literally walking home from the Vatican along a very quiet side street, looking for a well rated Trip Advisor restaurant when we happened to come across this little gem. This is a truly Italian restaurant... There is no English spoken but don't let that put you off.. The manager is also the waiter and he is incredibly accommodating.... More

I'd like to preface this review by saying I am a picky eater who was having trouble finding something other than pizza to eat during out trip around Italy. This was hands down the best meal I had in Italy. The restaurant opens around 7. That is to say, when they sort of feel like unlocking the door. There are... More

We really enjoyed our lunch at Alfredo and Ada. We almost couldn't find it because it is so tiny, just a door of a small room opening up to the street, so make sure you write down the house number. The food was just delicious - and I am looking forward to go back to Rome to eat there again.... More

There is absolutely nothing fancy about this place; small restaurant, plain decor, only about 7 tables, paper on the tabletops etc but the food is incredible. There is no menu but the waiter (who was polite and friendly) sat down at my table to talk me through what they have. There are only about 6 options but they all sounded... More

Alfredo serves passionately cooked dishes.... It is a small place right around the corner of giullio passami l'olio (check my other update). We ate inside as there is no terrace. We sat together with another guy on the table as there are not many tables. There were just a few great choices as far as the menu goes. 3 starters... More

A friend who lives nearby took us here, and we'll come back if we can. Many Romans from the neighbourhood come here for dinner. No written menu, just the waiter telling us what's on the menu. Bacalà was excellent.

We came there by occasion, looking for some cozy and authentic place for evening meal. There was only one table free ( at 7.30 PM ). Half an hour later there was a line of waiting people outside, some inside. No luck - constant-joking owner told them that there is no more food for tonight ! If I say that... More

Wow, our first meal in Rome. Wanted to find for later dinner, but it was open for lunch so entered. Cannot speak Italian but we managed to find out it was 10 euros each for lunch. We were offered a couple choices and both went with the artichoke lasagna. It was excellent! Also got a plate of 4 cookies. Will... More

This place exceeded all expectations. It is small and cozy, with framed family photos on the walls and antique-looking furnitures. No printed menu is available, but a super-friendly and charismatic waiter tells you what can be ordered on that particular day. Everything is home-made and delicious. Try their home red wine. It was so good we were thinking of buying... More
