Delicious, local, cozy.

We came across this unassuming spot our second night in Rome, and returned for dinner on our third and final night. Fresh ingredients purchased daily, the waitress recites the menu of the day/week, and offers house red or white wine with bread and oil. This fits 20 people or less (some small groups... read more

The restaurant is family run and very small, but it serves one of the best roman food I've ever tried! I'd recommend the melanzane alla parmigiana and the veal. Also good value for money as a meal for two with wine came to 50 Euros

Alfredo e Ada is a small restaurant with an excellent "local" atmosphere. The place is managed by the owners, doesn't have a large list of items on the menu, prices are affordable and decoration is simple - all this and the fact that food is delicious is what makes this place special. I loved the simplicity of the restaurant and... More

Somehow found this restaurant just two minutes from our apartment rental. Walking far for dinner was out of the question. I looked in and decided it was simple and would suffice. Unlike most places we received water without asking, but maybe that's also because there NO A/C here. Just something to know for those who are visiting in summer. "I... More

With all of the food places in Rome to choose from, and knowing most of them are not very good, we were so happy to find this true gem! The service was wonderful, the food delicious, probably some of the best we had on our vacation. I had eggplant parmesan and my husband had lasagna, both were excellent and served... More

This restaurant is very small, call to get a reservation. It has very few tables, you may find yourself sitting with other restaurant patrons. After it is open, there will be people waiting outside. There is only one waitress who spoke english. She was very friendley. They only serve house wine. They had an artichoke and bolognese lasagne which were... More

We came to this restaurant after reading all the reviews. to be honest, the reviews were not fare and the place is not amazing.. it is just a good restaurant. There is no menu so you are bound to choose between 5 dishes available on the day. The food is quite decent and the price you pay is fare.

We ate at this restaurant this evening. The meals were well made. The pasta was delicious, but the secondi were not the best we have had. While we greatly enjoyed the food, wine, decor, and company, the restaurant was crowded and hot. Unfortunately, we did wait a long time between courses and for the check, but perhaps this is normal.... More

I am really sorry to say that - espacially because there are so many five star reviews for this restaurant. We found that nice looking and cosy restaurant the other day late in the evening after we had dinner somewhere else - and it was packed. After reading the reviews on tripadvisor we thought we should go there the next... More
