Great food and value

Tiny restaurant with no written menu, shared tables, only vino della casa and carafe water. Wonderful fresh Raman food at great prices. Paid 40 euro for 2 for primo e secondo, a mixed salad, mezzo litro di vino. Lasagna with radicchio and Gorgonzola was one of the best pastas I've ever had.

Great restaurant! No paper menu. The waitress tells you what's available. One cook, one waitress! Very small and communal style. It was very delicious and extremely cheap! ! Great way to spend our last night in Rome!

Truly home made food, genuine friendly service, not touristy, not expensive. No frills (no menu card, one is told what the day's menu is), simple but lovely decor (love the clock on the wall chiming the hour). Most of all: the food is delicious. And the extra home made biscuit and wine at the end is very nice. I go... More

As a family of 4, we had 4 dishes, a half litre of wine, water and 2 soft drinks. All for 44 Euro. The stuffed chicken was beautiful and the veal stew was delicious. At the end of the meal the friendly waitress gave us a complimentary wine in which to dip the homemade biscuits she had given us. Fantastic... More

We had trudged around a packed and disappointing Sistine Chapel. Foot sore and not wanting a standard Rome tourist restaurant we stumbled upon this charming little place. The waitress was sweet and helped us choose and the meal was delicious. I had a chicken breast rolled and stuffed with a mushroom based filling. We had wine, bread and I had... More

Today was dreary and rainy in Rome. We arrived a little after 12 noon and the restaurant was nearly empty - probably due to the rain - our good fortune. We were seated and told the daily menu - more choices than I anticipated. My husband and I had 2 pasta carbonara - we split a beef involinti with spinach... More

Tried this restaurant following the advice of a traveller´s guide that my parents bought before coming to visit me in Rome for the first time. What a great choicewe made!!! The place is one of the most charming restaurants I have ever been to. It´s rather small so we waited a little bit outside until a table was cleared for... More

By far one of the best restaurants that I've tried during my one year stay in rome. It's not only that the food is very good and the vine cheap. It's also the atmosfear. Every time is the same, conversations crossed between tables, often if you're two you will end sharing table with another couple and the conversation will flow... More
