Best in Rome

We had six nights in Rome, ate at a lot of different restaurants and this was by far the best. The service was great as well. Will definitely go back here on next visit to Rome

This restaurant was recommended to us. I was slightly disappointed though. We had the (lunch?) menu, which is good value for money, but nothing special. Service was not great though. We had to wait very long and when we complained we got another waiter serving us who did really his best to make up for it. I would not go... More

Just back from Rome and have to say we had an amazing and very reasonable 3 course meal with wine sat outside watching the world go by. The food was traditional and delicious, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I have been to Rome 4 times and would without a doubt insisit on going back to this great little... More

I wrote a great review about this restaurant 3 years ago after a great shrimp past dish. I ordered the same this time and got an almost inedible pasta that was way too salty with shrimps that were the skinniest and most tasteless I've ever had. New chef or new owner doesn't care at all for the quality of the... More

The girl who served us was very friendly and we were given a free apperitif and a free shot at the end of the meal. The house wine was acceptable and very reasonably priced. The sea bass main course looked more impressive than it was to eat though and the Saltimbocca, although tasty was a bit mean portioned. The chocolate... More

Don't expect a fine dining swanky modern restaurant. It's a small restaurant plus a few outside tables situated down a cobbled side street. Good ingredients, well cooked and tasty food. So good, we went back the night after. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient. A good wine list starting from 20 Euros per bottle, terrific fillet steak with trimmings... More

Coming to Rome without having a pranzo at La Tavernetta 48 would never seem right. We do. To often get to Rome but when we do...we go here. The selections have always been varied enough so decision making can be difficult. This trip we had our nephew with us and we all choose different primi''s and secondi's so we tasted... More

We had a reservation, hence got in smoothly. The service was the best we had in Rome - the waiter was very nice, good mood, spoke good English. Also, we have leant they have a rather small kitchen, hence we had to wait for our dishes bit longer. However, not an issue if you are with a good company. Also,... More
