Restaurant was on nice quiet street in heart of the pedestrian area of Rome 3 blocks from the Pantheon. Nice reasonably priced bottle wine list. Smoked salmon crostini fresh and delicious.

We loved the carbonara and truffle pastas. For desert we recommend the lava cake and tiramisu. 4 people with wine was 105E. Excellent value and we had a fantastic waitress.

We had the fixed lunch for 15 euros on two occasions and found the food to be very good. I had a reasonable carbonara followed by a delicious bream on the first visit. The second time I had a fusilli with calamari and shrimp, delicious and a little spicy. My partner had the cacio and pepper spaghetti which while very... More

Ate here in 2012 and loved it, so we had dinner here again on our visit this year. Prices had snuck up a bit (what hasn't) but quality is still quite good. Service was very good, attentive but not overbearing so easy to relax and enjoy your meal. Very relaxing atmosphere on a small street not too far from the... More

A tasteless insalata di mare drowning in oil. A chewy cut of tagliata drowning in watered down balsamico. Sea food grilled to dry. Even sorbetto al limone came thawed in a hot glass. An exceptionally bad night?

This place is a bit hard to find, but definitely worth it (also relatively close to the Pantheon). They started us off with some complimentary prosecco, which was nice. Had two pastas, arrabbatia and the one with wild boar, both were pretty good. Then had the sea bass with potatoes and olives, which was really good and large enough for... More

We ate at this little place our last night in Rome. It was right around the corner from our apartment and was in a nice quiet ally. We sat outside and enjoyed the good friendly service and lovely menu. Everything we had was top notch and the wine list was good too. We will be back the next time we... More

Caution required - there are at least two restaurants listed on Tripadvisor for Rome called La Tavernetta, and one is an appalling tourist trap. This, on via degli Spagnoli, is the excellent one! We had an excellent fixed price two course lunch with wine and water for 15 euro, topped off with fantastic friendly service. It took us a while... More

Romantic outdoor seating. Had a lovely dinner. The truffle pasta is to die for. Bruschetta was good though it could use some salt. Great service. Highly recommend!

Nice. Small restaurant close to Pantheon, but on a small side street. ( via del Spagnola) Could not have been nicer. also less expensive than other local places so great value. Nice house wine ( in pitcher), excellent bruschetta and perfectly cooked pasta. Also patient and kid friendly. Would recommend you try.
