Fresh and well cooked food, nice wine and deserts. A restaurant with high quality, far away from the touristic places with french fries etc. Very friendly and helpful staff (good english). If you stay nearby, don't miss it!

We had a great meal at this warm and welcoming restaurant. Having eaten and cooked a lot of Italian food I can confidently say this was right up there with the best. To make it even better the staff were super friendly and the ambience ideal.

Really good food and great wine selection as well. Excellent service as well although it is a bit small.

Our concierge recommended this restaurant and we had a wonderful evening. The waiter was friendly and efficient and the entire staff made the evening an experience to remember. The food was wonderful and the suggested wine an excellent accompaniment. The room is larger and somewhat less intimate than some of the other very small restaurants we dined at but in... More

We had an amazing time last night! It is a family owned restaurant and you can feel the cheery vibe as you walk in. We didn't have a reservation but they took us in anyway (we got lucky). We ordered a bottle of wine, bruschetta, 3 pastas and a dessert and everything was delicious! However, the best part if our... More

The meal was truly excellent. We did not make a reservation because we were staying just around the corner, bit finished our sight-seeing early and stood outside at 6:40 waiting for the 7 p.m. Opening. We were the first ones in, so even though all tables were reserved for some time that evening, they seated us at a table reserved... More

This fantastic family osteria is far from being a tourist trap: it is located in a typical Roman neighborhood, within a short walking distance from Metro A stations (Re di Roma and Ponte Lungo). It's full with locals and therefore a reservation is needed. Our dinner there was the best meal we had during our 7 day stay in Rome,... More

Our first meal in Rome and now a chelae get to beat. We had no reservation but arrived early enough to get table which was reserved later in the evening. They made the children welcome and quickly prepared them some "simple pasta." Our beef dishes were delicious and were enjoyed with the house red. My husbands came with an amazing... More

My wife, son, granddaughter and I were staying in Rome this May 2014 and had gone to all of our favorite restaurants. We were looking for something new and took a chance based on Tripadvisor reviews. Osteria del Cavaliere had many good review. Our cab driver got lost and let us out three blocks short of the restaurant so we... More

Restaurant opens at 7pm and you really need to book! Food was great. Manager was very welcoming and it was entertaining watching him juggle reservations with 'cold' callers!
