It's certainly one of the best restaurants we've tried in Rome. Great value for the money! We only paid 44 euros for two and were so full at the end. Staff were very friendly and the young lady speaks excellent English.

This family run place is outside the touristic center of Rome but still it's quite easy to get to with the red metro line or with a cab.
I'd strongly suggest to make a reservation before going. We arrived quite early for dinner (around 7.10 pm) and therefore managed to dine without a reservation but the whole restaurant was booked...

After reading a number of reviews we were expecting something quite unique but it was a bad experience on all fronts! On our arrival the waitress, manager suggested that we leave the order up to her. She even said that she will bring a number of different specialities of the 'casa' to which we obviously agreed. But if what she...

The restaurant is small and cozy and looked very inviting when we arrived. The waitress was very helpful and told us that this wasn't a tourist place and wondered if we trusted them with the choice for our food. After that it seemed like an endless episode of lovely italian dishes landing on our table. We were only two but...

I cannot recommend a visit he highly I enough. In fact this is the first review I have written on this site. This is an oasis of great service, great value and really decent food in one of the world's most expensive cities. Ignore the menu and take their advice...let them bring you what they recommend. We had starters, delicious...

The atmosphere at Osteria del Cavaliere was absolutely delightful. It is quaint and cozy, very clean and well kept. As a family owned restaurant, the husband runs the dining room while his wife is the chef. The service is very warm and friendly while at the same time totally professional. Upon walking in, we were greeted by the owner, who...

After 3 days of eating disaapointing meals in tourist traps we found this pearl.. It's a bit out of the way but well worth it. The food is excellent, the service excellent at a surprisingly reasonable price. They open at 7pm, we snuck in as they opened without a reservation however one should be made as they were booked the...

Disappointed with other meals in Rome, decided to try this out of the way place. Well worth the travel (and, by the way, cab fare from the central part of Rome is really not expensive..14 euros from the upper part of Via Veneto). We got there a bit early before our reserved time and found the entire restaurant (maybe 20...

This restaurant is away from the known tourist tracks - actually in a residential area. We had reserved well in advance, which was needed. It's a small restaurant with only a few tables - busy all the time.
We were welcommed with a glass of prosecco. The owner and his crew/family made the evening a very special one. We trusted...

Osteria del Cavaliere is a bit off the traditional tourist routes. You have to take subway A line -direction Anagnina - and get off at Re di Roma station and walk roughly four blocks south. The name of the subway station, I believe, must not be a random coincidence. This restaurant is truly the Re di Roma (King of Rome)...
