Civilisation on toast

We didn't want to eat but wanted to find somewhere to sit and sup and watch the world go by. This was our first visit to any Italian city and most places looked like restaurants so we felt we couldn't just drink - but here had spare tables and no tout dragging us in - so we just asked if... read more

Bruschetta with tomatoes was ok, ordered zuchinni flowers with pasta and got deep fried zuchinni flowers. For mains we ordered pork with mushtooms which was bland and tasteless with a lumpy sauce. The grilled calamari was good. We ordered for dessert Tiramisu and Panne Cotta, what arrived was chocolate sponge cake with pink icing and creme brulee. When we queried... More

We had a late lunch at Pietro al Pantheon. The restaurant is quite small with a couple of tables outside and inside. The inside has a cozy feeling of that the owner has collected items over time to decorate the place. One plus point is that they are one of the few the places that do not usher people in... More

My husband and I had an incredible dining experience at Pietro al Pantheon. The owner greeted us and we were seated in the few outside tables. We had the mixed bruschetta appetizer and for a first course we split an order of wonderful homemade pasta with fresh porcini mushrooms. My entree was incredible - filet with truffles, and I mean... We ordered the pasta with truffles and the artichoke started, both were excellent. The pasta had great flavour, well balanced, fresh, light sauce, delicious. Stay clear of the house wine, the wine by the glass selection is very good and reasonably priced.

It is while ago, but we (all nine of us ladies) agree that we need to tell people about Pietro al Pantheon. We were made very welcome, had a delightful and delicious dinner in October 2014. We hope we did not annoy the other guests and people waiting, but we enjoyed this evening and it stands out in our memory... More

We have eaten at this little restaurant three times in the past during previous holidays and we always loved it here. We made it a point this time to visit this restaurant on our last morning in Rome to be able to fly back with good memories of what was once one of our favourite restaurants. Unfortunately this wasn't the... More

Unfortunately, this restaurant proved to be typical tourist fare with no real flavor or even great execution. Pastas were just ok, nothing to repeat or even talk about. This has been one of the few times tripadvisor has let me down...

The food here is great and it comes along with great service. The waiter was very nice which is something to cherish in Rome. The pasta with mushrooms is a delight and i would recommend you to order it!

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
