The River Palace staff recommended this family run reasonably priced restaurant. Our best meal and service by far. The food was outstanding and service at a high level. Staff spoke English and was patient

We came here on our first night in Rome. The hotel recommended this place. When we got there--the maitre d' said they were filled for the evening, however, when I mentioned our hotel--he found us a table. We had to wait maybe 15 minutes for a table. While we waited the gentleman brought us glasses of Prosecco. (Such a nice... More

We found the restaurant by pure luck, as we spotted it in an alley near the piazza argent. Inside there is a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Although it is a pure Italian restaurant they played in the background current US pop music. The staff barely know English so it was challenging to order the right dish, but they were... More

Ended up here on the first night of our second visit to Rome. The menu outside looked promising and I liked that it was in a quiet area, away from a lot of tourists and "tourist menus". However I was a bit disappointed when the specials listed on the board outside were unavailable - they were out of artichokes so... More

This restaurant was recommended by the concierge from our hotel. We walked through the ancient roman streets to the quaint St Anna Ristorante. The staff only spoke Italian and made the language barrier fun and interesting. We enjoyed such a great dinner - rabbit, prawns, & steak. The waiter took my husband to the kitchen to view the dessert selections.... More

My wife and I were looking for some lunch that served authentic Italian food and priced. We were walking down this side street and it had the menu out the front and there was no one trying to drag us in. Any place that tries to do this we would walk right on by. We even had a guy waving... More

We were directed here by the hotel we stayed at. They indicated that it was a local restaurant but it was full of tourists. We are a middle aged couple, but were seated near the door with the teenagers with backpacks. There was room in the dining room but they wouldn't seat us there. The good was average, my husband... Just off Largo Argentina down a quiet little side street S. Anna you'll find S. Anna restaurant. This is real Rome off the beaten track. Friendly, relaxed but attentive staff with a great sense of humour. Inexpensive wine and delicious seafood, pastas, pizzas and deserts to die for ... My favourite torta di nonna. Went here several times on our... More

Just down the street from Hotel Smeraldo, the glow of the white sign over Rist S, Anna beckoned us as we walked out for dinner. With a few streetside tables, a good menu and reasonably priced wine list we had a very enjoyable meal. There is light traffic but enough to make it feel like Rome.

On our last night in rome, we wanted to treat ourselves to an excellent italian dinner and found this wee restaurant on a side street. We were delighted, staff were very nice and helpful. We each ordered an entree from the buffet with lots of choices including a cheese bar! And then a main dish, pasta of course. All pasta... More
