We found this restaurant around our hotel hidden in an alley and took a chance. It was a great choice, especially for the pricing which we found very reasonable for Rome. The wait staff was great. My husband had pizza and I had spaghetti with bacon. We shared a bottle of house wine and requested to sit at a table... More

We always tried to stay away from the main hub-bub of touristy areas, wanting to try little authentic restaurants, and stumbled upon Ristorante Sant'Anna. Hidden in a little alleyway, the restaurant is housed in a "wine-cellar". Gleaming white cloth tablecloths and friendly staff. We tried the Fettucini Porcini mushrooms, Tagliatelle with gorgonzola and shrimps, and a salad. All dishes were... More

After walking around the Argentina area for a while (on a Monday evening) we settled on S'Anna as it offered a reasonable menu choice, and was quite busy. Monday evenings in Rome are quiet, and many restaurants close. It's a simple place, with some decent standard Italian food. The buffet offered as a starter was a little limited, various veggie... Fully enjoyed this simple but very nice restaurant that had great food at reasonable prices. Not a piazza experience with piazza prices but rather more authentic.

Last night of a short trip to Rome and this restaurant caught my eye as they were offering gnocchi. Rome was very hot and my appetite was lacking but I ate a plate of delicious gnocci in a home made tomato and basil sauce. Light, satisfying and tasty and only 9Euro with a bottle of water. Friendly staff and good... More

A hidden away treasure, with great owner and staff, excellent fish, classic Roman recipes; tourists seem to know it, but my wife and I are "old Romans" and feel at home here.

We found this place by accident while searching a place to have lunch on our first day in Rome. This restaurant turned out to be an excellent choice! I had the best "pasta al limone" here (still craving for that heavenly pasta...)! Unfortunately later when we wanted to come here to dine again, the place wasn't open. Next time in... More

The River Palace staff recommended this family run reasonably priced restaurant. Our best meal and service by far. The food was outstanding and service at a high level. Staff spoke English and was patient

We arrived at 8.30 on a Sat eve. The antipasto buffet was still on the menu although most dishes were empty and hadn't been refilled. The prawn cocktail was average with shrimps not prawns and the shellfish starter would have been good if unopened shells had been removed before serving and one shell had opened to reveal grey mud inside... We came here on our first night in Rome. The hotel recommended this place. When we got there--the maitre d' said they were filled for the evening, however, when I mentioned our hotel--he found us a table. We had to wait maybe 15 minutes for a table. While we waited the gentleman brought us glasses of Prosecco. (Such a nice... More
