Real Rome on a narrow street

Stumbled across this restaurant after walking from piazza Navonna. The restaurant is in a lively area with a few bars frequented by locals, always a good sign. Nice menu, with plenty of choice, and not overly priced. Enjoyable food, good pasta dishes and good wine choice too. Waiters were very attentive and at the end of the meal offered an... More

Wine 9 euros and lovely pasta dishes. Down a narrow street. Staff were very nice and very attentive. Place was quiet which was surprising.

This was really a 2 star experience but I am giving them 3 because I think a lot of the problems were because we arrived as walk-ins for a late lunch and they said they would take us (we weren't the last to be accepted). I think they should not have done. However, if you accept people then you should... More

The food and service was excellent, my 2 daughters and I were visiting Rome mid-March 2015. Our hotel was just down the street. I usually research places before I go out but this place was on a whim. Sant' Anna's restaurant is now our favorite and the prices are unbeatable. The food was Excellent, Great service and the 3 times... More

We found this restaurant around our hotel hidden in an alley and took a chance. It was a great choice, especially for the pricing which we found very reasonable for Rome. The wait staff was great. My husband had pizza and I had spaghetti with bacon. We shared a bottle of house wine and requested to sit at a table... More

We always tried to stay away from the main hub-bub of touristy areas, wanting to try little authentic restaurants, and stumbled upon Ristorante Sant'Anna. Hidden in a little alleyway, the restaurant is housed in a "wine-cellar". Gleaming white cloth tablecloths and friendly staff. We tried the Fettucini Porcini mushrooms, Tagliatelle with gorgonzola and shrimps, and a salad. All dishes were... More

After walking around the Argentina area for a while (on a Monday evening) we settled on S'Anna as it offered a reasonable menu choice, and was quite busy. Monday evenings in Rome are quiet, and many restaurants close. It's a simple place, with some decent standard Italian food. The buffet offered as a starter was a little limited, various veggie... Fully enjoyed this simple but very nice restaurant that had great food at reasonable prices. Not a piazza experience with piazza prices but rather more authentic.
