Early visit caught them on the hop but good wine and good Pinsa

We had been recommended to try Pinsa e Buoi at Via Carlo Felice, by our guide on a tour. We made the trip out on the Metro and it was worth it (there is another branch in Central Rome but this is supposed to be better). We were somewhat early by Italian timing for eating in the evening and... read more

It was my first day in Rome and because of this restaurant - the worst day there. Rome is famoust of pizza, right? But pizza there was far the worst I have ever eaten in my whole life. Furthermore the service was terrible and the menager is just an as***le. He treated me as if I was (because I'm not... More

Rome should be ashamed of this restaurant. They have one of the worst pizza I've had in my life. not to mention the pizza in Italy. Be careful because they are cheating on service. Also is worth mentioning that the manager of this "restaurant" - to be delicate to say - is impolite, rude. when we wanted to discuss suddenly... More

After living in Rome for years, a person gets tired of the repetitive menu one inevitably finds which includes the same traditional mediocre pasta dishes served day after day. I found this restaurant to be a breath of fresh air. We ate inside which is cozy, quiet and sober yet elegant. It doesn't necessarily cater to tourists (English for my... More

… is being served here in a nice setting which also applies to the al fresco seating, however you should be able to ignore the noise from the traffic on the busy street. Friendly staff is helping you with the menue which is any other than usual, containing Roman specialties galore, any of them cooked to perfection and extremely delicious.... More

I have been to this restaurant 3 times in the past few weeks, recommend by my tour guide. Each time we were warmly welcomed, very busy with a mix of tourists and locals. Hand made pasta was delicious, simple flavours with fresh produce. Good value for a top end restaurant. A good selection of wines. Deserts were amazing. I had... More

During a 4 day visit to Rome, my wife, mother-in-law and I went here twice! For lunch one day and dinner. It serves lovely food, outside seating and inside, with helpful and friendly staff. One of the waiters took a photo for us and had a really good sense of humour. Nice range of meals available and not too pricey.... More

Atmosphere is not very cozy. The staff is not speaking Engish, but menu is written in different languages. Big collection of vines. Pasta is good, but pizza and meat is middle level.

The pasta dishes that me and my friend ordered were really good and costs approx 12€ each. We had carbonara and meatballs. The manager was very cold to us after we said we do not want wine or anything else to drink. Spoilt the experience despite the really good food.

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighborhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
