After walking Rome all day, we made the decision to head back towards our apartment to find dinner. Our kids were tired and hungry and this was one of the first restaurants we came across. From past experiences, these rash decisions can be bad ones. But not on this occasion. We were greeted by two lovely men who explained that... More

It is a bit of a walk -- both in distance and atmosphere -- from the more touristy sections of central Rome to this place. It is totally worth the trip. The restaurant is tucked into an obviously residential neighborhood near the university (La Sapienza) and it is definitely all about "home cooking." Easily the BEST meal I have ever... More

An Italian friend took me to this restaurant on my last night in Rome. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. So nice to still be able to find a family run restaurant where an effort is made to satisfy clients with a great choice of food and a warm and friendly service. I will not forget my... More

Really nice experience. The waiter serves with lots of enthusiasm and the food is fantastic. We had a great time here and would recommend this place for young people who want to enjoy a nice dinner in a nice neighbourhood close to rome termini.

Truly. We ate here on our last evening in Rome. Off the beaten path but close to where we were staying. Worth the trek over here for those staying close to the attractions. This is a very reasonably priced, family run establishment: Mom cooks, sons serve, dad bookkeeps and helps everywhere, daughters...not sure, but they probably do something useful. We... More

Delicious food, large portions, and terrific Roman hospitality. That latter part saved our trip to Rome - the staff were just so very friendly and enthusiastic! Most of Rome is overridden with tourists and you can't blame the locals if they're slightly on edge, tired of packs of foreigners rummaging around the city. Even at the best cafes you get... More

This place is a slightly up market version of the typical Roman trattoria and the food is excellent and local. They specialise in fish (Roma is only about 20km from the coast) as well as meat, but the starter pasta dishes are the real delight of this place. I had pasta with meat sauce and my guest had pasta with... More

This local was one of the poorest I've ever been to. All dishes were poorly presented and the taste of all of them was one of the worst I have ever experienced. Previous positive ratings appear to me weird quite frankly...

San Lorenzo is an interesting residential area in the surroundings of Roma center, just 15 minutes walking from Termini. You can find a lot of characteristic premises and dine every kind of Roma's specialties for every kind of pocket. If you fancy a delicious fried fish, astonishing Fiorentina meet and ultimate cakes just book here. I also appreciated the white... More

In the neighborhood of san Lorenzo “Pesce Fritto e Baccalà” is a very fine restaurant where you can taste many sea food specialties. The chef and the staff are very friendly, the service is fast and correct and the dishes are very good, mixing with carefulness tradition (fried appetizers, for instance) and the willingness for a little bit of “nouvelle...
