Fresh seafood and friendly service

The thing that stands out the most is the fresh seafood. We had a platter of varied seafood starters - all delicious, after which I had my favorite - spaghetti vongole, and was not disappointed. I came to Il Tirso for a business lunch and we had the mixed raw seafood appetizer- great quality with a quiet ambiance. After the appetizer we had pasta with artichokes and fish but the fish got a bit lost in the sauce and the pasta was a bit too soft for my taste. I would come back- a good... More

Il Tirso opened at its current location two years ago. Very soon thereafter my Italian business associates ,who have also proven to be reliable foodies, have been encouraging me to give it a try. But despite it being located almost directly across the street from my hotel (Beverly Hills), I somehow could never find it on my several intervening visits.... More

I have found Il Tirso to be a decent restaurant serving mostly fish dishes. The carpacio was fresh, apetizing, but had too much lemon on it, and when this happens the citric acid burns, or cooks the fish, while the spagetti con vongole vorace were almost perfect. Almost, because few clams were cracked, sign they were put into oil at... More

If fish is not your thing, do not come here. But if it is, you should definetely pay a visit when in rome. For lunch, which is when i went, this płace is a business avenue, with local executives mad for it, as it provides great food and a secluded environment. The menu offers whatever you can dream of in... More

They just moved to Via Salaria 211. They were very friendly, however, we were disappointed by the food. The entrecote contained too much fat and the fish was just pan-fried (instead of being made on the grill as suggested).

this is a great restaurant for fish and sea food. The dishes are well presented, the service is very good (which is not particularly common in Italy). Of course being fish and being good it is not cheap. But it will not ruin you either. For dinner you would spend from 25 to 50 euros depending on what you order... More

Delicious restaurant near the centre of Rome. A friend of mine suggested me to go there and reserved it for us. Little restaurant, nice interior and....delicious food. All was really tasty and various dishes were served at the beginning as starters. I loved the Spaghetti with seafood, and the fried calamari were excellent.
