Location was excellent, with tables outside which were perfect. Greeted by a gentleman whose English was much better than my Italian, and received a table quickly. At that point, another waiter took over our service. He proceeded to ask a question, took our order, then acted as though he understood that we were to share courses. He did not understand.... More

While in Rome we ate at this place several times. Great food, great prices. We had pizza several nights, wonderful vegetables, lemon infused veal, great house wine. The staff is very friendly. The place is located on a side road near the Supreme Court - off the beaten path and well worth a visit. I prefer to eat in less... More

Good food. Slow service (as is typical of Italy). Try their grilled cheese with prosciutto - it is amazing! (FYI it is not a grilled cheese sandwich).

We visited Rome last year and this became our local as we were staying at the Hotel Dei Mellini. So on our return this year we decided, even after some poor reviews, to try this place again. We have booked for every night we are here after our first night. The service is second to none. The food is amazing.... More

Dear Customer, I'm sorry if you didn't like our food. And I'm sorry that our waiter didn't ask you the reason why, usually it doesn't happened. But this is not a good reason for you to say that I'm not able to do my job. And to offend me and my staff. I'm the chef of this restaurant since 1986,... More

A lovely place, big portions for a low price. A good first step in Rome. Consider this place to be more for Italians then guests of Rome.

Having arrived earlier in the day this was the first restaurant we stumbled across where the menu appealed to us. We shared an Antipasti between us which was lovely and was really filling. For mains we ordered two Veal dishes which were lovely, we ordered a side dish of mixed vegetables to be told we could help ourselves to the... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel staff as cozy and affordable. The interior looks pretty usual and not cozy at all. The food was served quickly but it took them forever to bring the check. Pasta with paprica was way too hot; spaghetti with meat sauce were ok. We were told at the hotel that we'll receive a 10%... Dead Customer, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, I'm sure that there was a mistake with your bill because we ALWAYS make 10% off to S.Angelo Hotel's customers. Sorry for that. Best wishes Enza More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
