Good food not so good staff.

Food was awesome! So many options for spaghetti n pizza! Was bored seeing the same menu everywhere. The head also cooked up a veggie surprise for us. Good wine. Was not satisfied with the billing. He charged 15pc as cover charges and did have the decency to return change back. Ended up paying over... read more

Super cute restaurant, we were on a group tour and had our farewell dinner here The mozzarella pales in comparison to the others we had tasted in Rome. The carbonara & spaghetti were average at best. Definitely not ip to par with the other homemade pastas we had eaten. The bread was round and was very good dipped in Olive... More

This restaurant is just a couple of blocks from the Trevi Fountain. That being said, I've been here several times and rarely ever seen a tourist (except for us!). Food is outstanding and staff is very personable.

I'm not sure if I'm more upset with all the great reviews or the restaurant itself. We visited L'archetto this evening. Based ok on the great reviews we felt pretty confident with our choice. We were so upset with our food & service that I just had to review. The food was bland the service was poor. I would not... More

This place is probably built for the passing tourist, but certainly knocked our socks off. It was an extremely friendly place with plenty of authentic Italian dishes. The humorous staff were extremely accommodating, splitting a spaghetti dish into two separate bowls each still containing more than enough pasta for a sensible sized human being to consume. The chocolate mousse was... More

This place has the biggest selection of pasta sauces I've seen in Rome, and I live here! Everything I've eaten here is delicious. Today I had a perfect dish os spaghetti all'Amatriciana. They were quite generous with the sauce (probably because I'm American) but it was a perfect dish. The service is quick and friendly. The house red wine was... More

We stumbled upon this charming restaurant by mistake but what a find. We found the food to be so good we went back the next day. Comments have been made about being put to sit close to other people for me this was no problem I enjoyed the conversation we had with a charming couple from Austria. Our waiter Raphael was... More

The pasta was very good. The best we had. The hose wine was was also great. The place itself is located in a cute alley near Trevi Fountain. 5 minutes after we arrived a line began piling up, but it moved pretty fast. Everybody in trip-advisor complained about the "surprise check", and what actually happens is that it says in... More

Such a cute and lovely place to eat! Nice outside seating and staff are so nice and helpful! Food is great and great prices. In a nice area too, wine there is amazing! Ate here a couple of times during my stay and loved it! Would definitely recommend!

This is a true treasure and will be a wonderful experience for you. Their house wine is excellent. We had an enjoyable time with the staff and the food was the best we have experienced here.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
