Beware of the fake all you can eat menu

On the firt visit, we were attracted by the eur 9,90 menu for a 3 course dish. But when inside we were told, it is only for lunch. We should have got the message. Second day we were attracted by the all you can eat menu for eur 12 which is valid for dinner, but we should have remembered better.... read more

I'm sorry if our menu has caused confusion for you, we hope to be more clear in the future. It is true that our 9.90 euro menu is only for lunch as our menu states underneath the the price. For our 12 Eur menu, you are able to purchase any starters pasta and rice that you would like. However, as... More

Stopped in on a rainy day. Had the 3-course selection for €10. The fried sea weed as a starter was excellent, followed by 'good' hot & sour soup, then orange chicken. The interior of the restaurant is striking. All in all very pleased with the experience.

We stayed at a hotel a couple of doors down from this Chinese and having had some great Chinese food during previous trips to Rome decided to give it a go. It's always a good sign when you see the locals frequenting a restaurant and in this instance that included the clergy so we were pretty sure we were on... More

I chose this restaurant because my parents want to eat Chinese cuisine after trying two days' Italian pizza. So I found this restaurant, which was the nearest. I cannot imagine how can a chef cook like that, without flavor, even worse than what I cook. What I'm worried is that the image of Chinese cuisine has been ruined by the... More

We were seated in a tight corner near the front window close to a noisy party of 4 with little room to breathe as the heat of the restaurant became uncomfortable .We were moved when we complained but when our order was eventually taken (wrongly) and took a long t Ike to arrive . Very average food.

There are of course better Chinese restaurant in Rome, but this place is decent enough in terms of food quality, cleanliness and service. I suddenly had this craving for Japanese ramen. And I don't know of any authentic ramen house here. The closest that there can be are the noodle soup available in Chinese restaurants. So there I went since... More

This was perhaps the best meal we had in Rome. Located on the south side of Largo Argentina - location of the cat sanctuary and the busy transit center - the restaurant opens at 6 PM for dinner. It was a very tasty meal with quality ingredients. We had Chicken with Mushroom and Bamboo and Mixed Vegetables. The dishes were... More

This is the best Chinese food we have found on our travels in Europe. We were lucky we found it our on last night in Rome. When we saw tons of locals entering the restaurant we knew it had to be good, and it was. It is a nicely decorated restaurant too and the staff is very attentive. Every thing... More

My husband and I went here on our last day in Italy - we had our fill of pasta and were looking for something different. The food was just ok and the service was very slow. We had to ask to get our soup and appetizer brought out after sitting there for over a half hour.

Staying in Ghetto

Neighborhood Profile
Ghetto
The mini-neigborhood Ghetto holds tight to its reputation as a stand-alone area thanks to its nearly 300-year history as the home to Rome’s Jewish community. Times changed in the 20th century, but the tiny area still retains its mix of tradition, community, and history. Ancient and medieval architectural design frames apartments, bakeries, shops, and restaurants. Friends and families are the pulse of the neighborhood, keeping company on the Via del Portico d’Ottavia. The Ghetto observes the traditional Jewish Shabbat: businesses close from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown.
