The pub takes its name from the world renowned Irish National Theatre, which was founded by William Butler Yeats and Lady Gregory.Stage props and costumes from the storerooms of the Abbey Theatre have been used in the decor, giving the pub a very special atmosphere. The six fully air conditioned rooms of the pub are spread over two floors, and a huge range of Irish whiskeys, cocktails and long drinks are on offer, as well as Irish beers on tap including, of course, the famous Guinness. The Abbey Theatre offers irish, italian and international cuisine all day everyday. We are able to show all major sports throughout the pub on 14 TV screens. ( NFL, Premiership, Serie A, Rugby World Cup...). The pub has a happy hour during the daytime, live irish music every week, and free Wi-Fi.The pub also offers private parties or weddings. Our welcoming pub, is considered one of the best in the city and it is laid out in typical Irish style with lots of little rooms linked by narrow corridors.

Great find!

My wife and I stopped in here a couple times during our visit, nice spot to grab a beer and chill. Had breakfast one morning (Irish breakfast & Guinness), it really hit the spot. Many TV's for watching sports, we caught a couple NFL games late night, also the Rugby World Cup...Check this place out... read more

As an American in Rome, it's a great place to get quality food and drinks. Would definitely recommend to tourists looking for American food! Try the Taco Tuesday's! €1 tacos! Can't get any better.

Terrible flat beer. Bar man didn't care. Handed our pints back and walked out. As an Irish man this is no Irish bar. Any bar man in Ireland would replace a flat pint not shrug his shoulders and walk away. Bar girls were very nice though. Slan.

The numerous TVs in the pub stream live soccer games. Ask to sit upstairs to watch Roma when it is playing. Fantastic authentic atmosphere...Roman guys of all ages having a beer, anxious silence, cheers, screams. Wonderful place if you cannot make the stadium. Great picturesque location just around the corner from Piazza Navona. I had the salmon crostini and it... More

We were looking for a break from Pizzas and Pasta so came to this great little pub. Decor was nice, there was a TV with sport on with the sound down and the menu was pretty good too. Me and my partner had burger and chips and they were delicious, such a nice alternative.

Went in for a drink with my wife. The staff are slow and rude. Not friendly but it has to be said that two of the girls weren't Italian. Our experience of people in business in Rome in general is second to none. We cancelled drinks and left. Definitely not a place to bother with.

My husband and I stopped in for a drink. Very reasonable prices and good service for the centre of Rome. Large screens for sport and good music too. Service with a smile. Worth popping in I'd say..two drinks was a mere 6 euro..standard price for 1... It is run by Irish people.

Simple but very practical. Food is not expensive with very reasonable prices and it's in the centre of Rome.
