The pub takes its name from the world renowned Irish National Theatre, which was founded by William Butler Yeats and Lady Gregory.Stage props and costumes from the storerooms of the Abbey Theatre have been used in the decor, giving the pub a very special atmosphere. The six fully air conditioned rooms of the pub are spread over two floors, and a huge range of Irish whiskeys, cocktails and long drinks are on offer, as well as Irish beers on tap including, of course, the famous Guinness. The Abbey Theatre offers irish, italian and international cuisine all day everyday. We are able to show all major sports throughout the pub on 14 TV screens. ( NFL, Premiership, Serie A, Rugby World Cup...). The pub has a happy hour during the daytime, live irish music every week, and free Wi-Fi.The pub also offers private parties or weddings. Our welcoming pub, is considered one of the best in the city and it is laid out in typical Irish style with lots of little rooms linked by narrow corridors.

We went for dinner near this pub and were so happy to find it! The drinks are great and they were some of the best priced cocktails in town. My wife is Irish and it was just really nice to find a place that could make a good cocktail and not just rely on wine like most of Rome. This... More

Just what the doctor ordered. Needed a good place to watch sports, and where better than an Irish pub? Also had the best wifi we found in Rome. Staff was great

Just popped in for a drink while waiting for a pizzeria to open. Ended up staying to have food and many drinks. Superb music playing and great food. Staff were all lovely.

I was here with my friends to watch a basketball game. A bartender offered us a table and we started ordering some beers. 10 minutes later, they came and tried to move us from our table because we did not order food and they cannot serve the other(imaginary) persons which would have wanted to eat. After our denial, they just... More

Good sized Irish / sports bar. Food was superb! I had salmon pasta, partner had the above-mentioned stew; both were simply amazing! Staff were super-friendly, spoke good English, service was great - price was decent - well worth a stop-off

Stopped in here once. 2 of us had fish and chips the other other had Shepherd's Pie. Fish was obviously frozen not fresh and the pie was not good either. It was the worst Irish pub food I've had in as long as I can remember. Bar has a good atmosphere but don't eat here.

Went here twice with the intentions of only having one drink, both times ended up staying all night, the staff are brilliant, really make you feel welcome and you wont want to go home, I would go back to Rome just to go to this pub, thanks for a fantastic time Michael, Lenny, Dave and Ricky, miss you all already.

Perhaps the Abbey Theater is our Roman "local" as our smartphones and iPads were automatically connected to their wi-fi :D They have a good array of draft beers and my favourite cider, Magners. And as pub food goes, very good burgers, proper full Irish breakfast (which I'm sure many guests will appreciate the morning after) and one of the nicest... More
