Description: The pub takes its name from the world renowned Irish National Theatre...
The pub takes its name from the world renowned Irish National Theatre, which was founded by William Butler Yeats and Lady Gregory.Stage props and costumes from the storerooms of the Abbey Theatre have been used in the decor, giving the pub a very special atmosphere. The six fully air conditioned rooms of the pub are spread over two floors, and a huge range of Irish whiskeys, cocktails and long drinks are on offer, as well as Irish beers on tap including, of course, the famous Guinness. The Abbey Theatre offers irish, italian and international cuisine all day everyday. We are able to show all major sports throughout the pub on 14 TV screens. ( NFL, Premiership, Serie A, Rugby World Cup...). The pub has a happy hour during the daytime, live irish music every week, and free Wi-Fi.The pub also offers private parties or weddings. Our welcoming pub, is considered one of the best in the city and it is laid out in typical Irish style with lots of little rooms linked by narrow corridors.

Must not miss this Irish pub

Im glad we saw this pub and it inspired us to go in. Friendly staff, very good options to eat, the smoked salmon was great as well as the fish and chips and to finish the barman received compliments for the best Irish coffee ever, the bayleis coffee is also a very nice option.

Found this place on the net before travelling tom Rome for the 6 Nations rugby game, Italy v Rome. Before we even got to the bar we had a good impression as they laid on a FREE coach return transfer from the bar to the Olympic stadium for away supporters. Sounded too good to be true but it wasn't. We found... More

Great bar for food and a chilled drink. Great for watching football too. Shame then that one of the waitresses, while trying to take away the cutlery we weren't using, knocked over my drink. She apologized and left in a hurry. We cleaned the table off ourselves and she came back with the check for the drinks and left all... More

With only pasta dishes on offer around Rome, it was nice to come across this pub that offered great food at very reasonable prices with friendly staff. Nice variety of draft beers on tap too.

Teresa charged me twice on my tab and when I went to talk to her the next day she refused to talk to me or even accept her mistake. The only thing that saves this place is that it's close to many tourist attractions, but trust your senses if they tell you to leave, the puke smell isn't fake!!!

Dear Mark, thank you for writing, every review is a chance to improve our service. I personally and sincerely do not remember this happening. I find it hard to believe and conceive that you were charged twice. But if a mistake was made by me or my colleagues, and by any strange occurance, this happened I deeply apologize and am... More

Came here twice in our three night adventure in Rome. Nice atmosphere and it was close to the apartment. Little busy at times but adds to the experience. No idea what's going on with their toilets though - seemed they were under construction

Fantastic traditional Irish bar in Rome, bar tender was so helpful and friendly. Had a fantastic afternoon in there, with fellow English travellers. Well worth a visit.

The beer drinkers in our group were pleased to stumble upon this great little pub. Truly appreciated the spunky and authentic Irish waitress. The beer selection was great and the sampling of appetizers was wonderful. We loved the bruschetta with olive tapenade especially. We sat in the back room at a table where we were able to look out this... More
