Unfortunately, the level of Asian food in Rome is not great. However, this is one of the fe places where it is pleasant. I have tasted many Vietnamese restaurants around the world - This restaurant isn't overly authentic, in my opinion. The Pho for example is not great. However some dishes are decent enough. Imperial rolls worth a try. I've... More

Dear customer. I want to thank you for the effort and for the time dedicated to review our restaurant. He writes that came few times in our restaurant and in the end I found pleasing our food. He also writes that "respect the owner for trying to raise the bar for Asian food in Rome". However, why the level of... More

In the midst of a long European trip, I was in dire need of some good Vietnamese food. Mekong is only one of three Viet restaurants in Rome. My wife and I shared an appetizer sampler that included: cha gio, goi cuon, cha ca, xoi ga... I also had pho bo Hanoi. Overall, it was a great dining experience. The... More

The service for Italian standards I assume was quite high since the various staff were busy walking around and checking up on each table. Food was presented nicely, cooked quite well too but unfortunately not for my taste buds. However in retrospect I would like to point out that this is northern fare, as a viet kieu I don't eat... Dear Vietnamese readers of this review. Every single restaurant has its culinary offering and its own food processing. This, however, should not be and can't be an element of culinary and political discrimination, as stated in the previous paper, which we believe is artfully constructed with the obvious aim of inviting those Vietnamese, who for reason related to the history... The restaurant is cozy and elegant. The Vietnamese food is diverse with good 'nuoc mam' and vietnamese sauces and ingredients. Although the food needs to be more similar vietnamese taste, it is a nice start to understand Vietnamese cuisine. The owner is Italian but had visited Vietnam to learn how to cook and imported good ingredients. Good place in overall.

FINALLY! I have finally found a great restaurant with excellent food! The service was also excellent and particularly appreciated were the explanations and recommendations made by the owner. The owner has a great sense for detail, and even asked us what level of spicy we could with. All which enhanced the whole experience! All I need now is to find... More

I've always been in this place for several times and I will always come back and eat here. I'm not honestly expert about Vietnamese cuisine but all I can say is, they really served an appetizing food. The untiring owner gave us always an explanation about the food and of how is the way to eat it.The wine list has... More

I was at the restaurant tonight celebrating festa delle donne with other friends in a group of twenty, mostly women. This is my first time over Mekong, and surely it is the last time. The owner treated us rudely, talking to us with a VERY LOUD VOICE, while showing NO respect to women at all. We were SUGGESTED NOT TO... More

Dear Readers. The Lady speaks of respect. Respect is a broad concept that goes by the respect for people, women or men who are, for the work that these people perform. The Lady deliberately omits to say that the group of 20 people was as agreements between the parties present at the restaurant for dinner at 7 pm. Ms. Peggy... More

Dear Readers. As you read this review, we remain decidedly incredulous, doubtful and perplexed . We immediately wondered if this lady had never really come to our restaurant , because undoubtedly, something in what she writes ninth square.
