Great little restaurant! Took a while to get served, but the food was well worth the wait. Not the usual tourist pasta and pizza, but proper Italian cuisine. I had veal cheek starter followed by wild boar and chocolate, and the trio of desert was to die for! A little more expensive than the average restaurant, but well worth it.

Best tiramisu until now. Sloppy service!! The waitress takes about 30 minutes to write your order down and more 30 to bring it. And just wait a few minutes more cause she forgot your wine! But the tiramisu is fantastic.

Food and wine was OK but not exceptional. I have eaten better in Rome They had no "apertive" except prosseco or wine. Starters were good, but main dish not more than average. Dessert was good again. Another bummer was that you cannot get milk with your coffee so we decided to skip it. Price was OK I will not visit... More

We like our food and enjoy the local culinary experience as part of every holiday. As a family of three, we booked this restaurant for dinner to enjoy a nice meal after a busy day of sightseeing. The restaurant has a modern environment and is known for offering modern roman cuisine. Our appetizers (on the house) were good and so... More

We visited this fantastic, understatedly stylish restaurant for a set lunch in September and couldn't wait to return. We had the opportunity to have dinner in May. Simply outstanding! Excellent service, imaginative seasonal cooking; the small front of house staff gives the impression of having passion for the food they serve and they exude charm and care (do you hear... More

We had a lovely evening at L'asino d'Oro - the food was great and the staff were so friendly. Best tiramisu I have ever had. We would certainly recommend this restaurant.

Well, we had an unfortunate experience with this restaurant but it meant that we didn't get to try their food. First up I have to say we turned up about 15 minutes later than our 7.30 booking. The restaurant was virtually empty and the staff standing around but we were told that they could only hold bookings for 15 minutes... More

We stumbled across this gem of a restaurant partially by chance; it happened to be a recommended place that was close to our hotel and we were too hungry to venture out into Rome on the day of our arrival. We had the classic Roman dishes of spaghetti cacio e pepe, and baccalà, as well as a veal cheek appetizer.... More
