We had a late lunch at il Molo and we were surprised to find this great seafood place! The restaurant has a Sardinian background because dishes and wines are typical from that region and I must say that the food is delicious! Rome is not famous for seafood dishes but il Molo is the choice if you're after good fish!... More

Be sure to make a reservation, because it's quite always full. Be sure to order the classic antipasto of the restaurant, only seafood.

Didn't have a reservation but agreed to wait about twenty minutes for a table, along with a couple of others - no worries! It started to go downhill after this; the waiters move at about 100mph because the place is packed, little space between tables and the menu offers quite a wide range of stuff, so if you know what... Came in from a long flight and found this gem right by my hotel. Seemed like a popular locals spot since there werent any tourists dining there. The salmon pasta was perfectly al dente and had great flavor. My mother had the seafood risotto which I thought was good not great but still very fresh. Would recommend!

The first time we visited this ristorante, we noticed that the host at the door mentioned to all of those who looked at the outside menu "Solo pesce" (only fish). That was because many visitors to Roma expect pizza, carbonara and bolognese. This place has pasta but it is a seafood pasta and a lot of very fresh, locally caught... More

Let me start by saying that frequent customers receive a differentiated treatment there - a previous reviewer had said that they serve bruschettas on the house. Well, that was only applicable to the people that were clearly their some-time-customers. We received the regular bread as it happens in most restaurants in Italy. My husband wanted to drink wine by the... More

My wife and I were lucky enough to be taken here by some Roman friends and we had a wonderful meal. Our friends ordered a selection of starters and it just seemed to keep coming! We had oysters, dressed crabmeat, anchovies, mussels, langoustines, squid, and octopus (and other dishes I can't remember!) For main course, half of us had their... More

Specialist fish/seafood restaurant. It probably helps to know what you are looking for here. Some of the "standards" were fine but not exceptional (seafood salad antipasto, seafood risotto) but out of the mainstream, things really looked up e.g. moscardini (fried baby octupus). Excellent selection of appropriate wines - lots of Sardinian vermentino. Service seemed a little overbearing at first -... More

Antipasta meal had 8 plates instead 12-15, as it has been declared in comments here. Oysters, mussels, octopus were nice, but the rest had just too much vinegar. Pasta with shrimps was tasty. Service was excellent, the waiter was attentive, speaking english good. We wanted drinking two glasses of wine, and there was only one sort of wine that we... More

Absolutely excellent food, wine and service and nowhere near as expensive as we thought it would be, considering how good it was. Only a 5-10 minute walk from the main train station.
