Enjoyed thr food in this place. Came here for dinner with starter and as a main course - of course - fish. A bottle of wine, sitting outside... nice evening.

By the quiet street we lived on, on the first evening we popped into this nice seafood restaurant. The service was very friendly, mains were medium priced and very tasty. Delicious desserts and complimentary limoncello & myrta.

We had a pleasant lunch here on Saturday. The restaurant has a nice decor and was full of local people which I thought was a good sign. The food was great, we had mostly seafood dishes and they all tasted excellent. This is not a fast lunch place, waiters were friendly but busy due to many people and we, like... More

We had dinner here on one of our nights as we stayed close by. The seafood risotto was the best we have tasted and the mussels antipasto is extremely fresh. We did not order dessert because there is a Gelato shop round the corner however the staff offered us some complimentary biscuit and vodka(I think) to round up. The staffs... More

we had a fantastic meal in Il Molo. The starter was delicious, and main course was fresh and very good quality. It was our last day in Rome otherwise we would have come back

I think it was quite good Sardinian restaurant. I liked it. The service was nice and the food was well cooked. The location, which is near the main train station of Rome, is plus point for the restaurant. I recommend the place.

Beware of restaurants in Rome. They tack on an extra charge for bread and breadsticks and service. This restaurant is no exception. The only thing is that the quality of food is quite horrible. I got the sense that the items I ordered were not freshly prepared but rather reheated and parboiled. The décor was very plain and dull in... More

Il Molo is a bit out of the central Rome district frequented by locals from the surrounding neighborhood. The seafood is fresh and well prepared. Prices are very reasonable. Our 4 course dinner for two with a bottle of wine was €65. They have seating both inside and on the walk outside.

Best restaurant we've been to on our honeymoon! We were full after the appetizer and thought that was the whole meal, then he brought out the second course. It was SO much food and so good! Excellent food and excellent service!

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
