Quick visit, nice little museum

This building has a very modern achitecture and a very old purpose: host the remains of Cesare tomb. It's a quick visit that is very worth your time. The area aound it has interesting places to go eat.

Considering this place is just off the main shopping promenade it's not too expensive. Food is ok, we had starters of ham with mozeralla & carpaccio beef which were both very nice. Mains of steak which was cooked good (medium rare), carbonara spaghetti ok & pizza which was a little bland. €85 which included two cokes & one water. Not... More

I had the treat of being here the first time with my mom who was here before. The reason I say that is we had the same waiter who served my mom and remembered her from 4 months prior. He treated us like friends with service and great food

We stayed in Rome for 2 nights, Positano for 5, and Rome again for two more nights. We ate here 3 times and the 4th night at another restaurant didn't compare. The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly. I am still longing for more mozzarella and prosciutto. The fettuccine with mushrooms is outstanding! We have four teenagers... More

I took a friend for dinner. On this special occasion I had a first course of Pasta which was very good. Disappointing, however, was the meat course. Manzo (oxen) with potatoes. The meat was extremely fatty and tasted mainly of being fried too long and too hot (at 20€ for this course). the restaurant also has a Pizzeria section, so... More

We happened upon ara pacis la capricciosa on New Year's Eve in Rome. We were just a walking around looking for a good spot to eat and ara pacis beckoned to us with its cute patio. It was too cold to eat outside but we were given a warm welcome and the staff was so accommodating and friendly! Our waiter... More

One of the best meals we had in Rome. Staff was accommodating and pleasant. I ordered something not on the menu thought the ingredients were. Staff very accommodating. Would return on next visit to Rome!

Six months prior I had been to Rome with two friends and found Ara Pacis Ristorante. Our experience was the best and I previously wrote a review. Now I was in Rome with my adult son for one night only and I wanted to share this restaurant and its staff, primarily a waiter named Bissie, with him. Once again the... More

Had dinner on recommendation from hotel concierge. The outside seating was full (about 100 seats) so we had to wait a couple of minutes for a seat. This was a good sign as the restaurant next door was empty. Our waiter was charming and very friendly, the menu extensive and the wine list varied. The restaurant itself was a bit... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
