typical italian restaurant

We didn't book a table, we were seated really fast. The service was really friendly and quick, the before mentioned salad and pasta was very tasty (in Italy you always put your own dressing on the salad:-)). Great place, we would come back anytime.

Came across this place after searching the tripadvisor app and wasn't disappointed. We were seated with no problem at about 9pm. Just as well we arrived when we did as the queues outside began! This isn't a pizza place, but the pasta is fantastic and good value. Our meal including service charge came to just over 60 euros for 2... More

We were recommended by a friend to try this restaurant after a very disappointing meal in Rome and were very happy with the quality of the food. It is a small, local restaurant - if you want good, local food, it is definitely one not to miss. I tried the pasta e fagiole to start which was a perfect warm... More

We had dinner here 8 years ago and sought it out. It is a small, family run place that my whole family loved. The lamb chops in particular are wonderful, but pasta, wine, etc were all really nice. Our best meal over 5 nights in Rome. Very reasonable prices as well.

The staff isn't the warmest or friendliest as you will find in some spots but the food was fantastic. Our large group were all happy with their pasta and chicken dishes as well as the delicious appetizers. The crostini with bacon and aged balsamic was amazing. Highly recommend a try but make reservations. We tried to do a walk in... More

This was a Rick Steves recommendation, and I say thank you Rick! We loved the food, had an amazing pasta dish with cherry tomatoes, small kalamata olives, fennel fronds and shaved ricotta salata cheese. Simple and delicious. Its a small place and super busy, obviously popular with local residents because of good food and very reasonable prices.

Fantastic local quisine, you will invariably have to wait for a table but it is well worth it. We ate here on two occasions and the food never disappointed. House red at 8 euros for a ltr was wonderful value.

It looked good the night before. However next evening the staff were harassed, no smiles, no eye contact. Patrons were squashed in so I frequently had my chair jogged. Antipasta were unexciting, only choice of chopped vegetables (carrots, celery ), cold meat or some tripe! I had a pasta dish which was all cooked but very plain. My fork was... More

I hate reading other people's supposed "best food on their trip" reviews, but this place was it for me. Being seated initially sucked, but we were new to Italy and didn't realize you just sit if there's an open table. Once we finally had menus after 10 minutes (a huge table of 12-15 had just sat before us, and they... More

Had a dinner here, busy place with many locals so a little waiting as we had not reserved table. The wait was worth the while as we received fantastic pasta with good wine! Not a bad price level and not bad service either so all in all very good experience with tasty real homemade Italian food!
