We came here in passing and liked the look the place. Although seated immediately from the start we felt that we were there to do the waiting staff a service and not the other way round. The food was though in all fairness of an excellent standard, with the fagioli & pasta soup the best I have ever tasted by... More

A bit off the beaten path but our hotel suggested this as a place that locals go. It was outstanding. The Tortellini soup has a base that was the best I've ever tasted. We tried several dishes and shared them--nothing disappointed and we ate everything put in front of us long after we stopped being hungry. We ate just for... More

Off the beaten track, but a great authentic find. Book a table or get there early, as it gets very full quickly. Worth a visit.

Perfectly cooked fresh pasta, simple seasoning packed with flavour. If you like honest Italian cooking then you need to visit this place. The Coratella was excellent and highly recommended (if you like offal). So good we ate there twice. Advisable to book in advance as it's always busy.

We planned to eat here from the reviews on tripadvisors. Just a couple of blocks away from the coliseum and it was as good as expected. Really authentic roman fare, I had bucatini alla grecia with artichokes. I can still taste them. The star of our lunch was "Coda Alla Vaccinara" basically oxtail in a tomato sauce. It was outstanding.... More

We visited this restaurant based on the positive reviews here and elsewhere. The food was great and the service was good enough. Not friendly but not hostile by any means. However once the bill came, we tried paying with a credit card and the manager/owner, not sure who he was but he was definitely in charge, told us they had... More

Stumbled upon it late-ish one night ~ managed to get seats and really enjoyed our meal. Affordable and tasty food - even had some dessert. The waitress was friendly and even cracked a few jokes! Well worth a visit!

I could have cooked a better pasta. Too al dente. It looks like a ready meal too. They even rounded up the service charge from 2.10 to 3 euro. Bad service. Even the table next to mine rolled their eyes.
