lovely place, pretty decent food

I liked it more than I expected. We found this place without reading any reviews. Place was busy. Stuff was nice. Food was good. It is not a posh place. I would not go there if staying in center of Rome, but if you stay in Pigneto don't miss it!

We were looking for a bar off the beaten track and came across Necci. If you are looking for relaxed drink and a bite to eat away from touristy madness with a hip ambiance its worth considering Necci. We sat outside and enjoyed a generously sized gin and a lager at local prices. This is located in the Pigneto area.... More

Had high expectations for this place, but on balance it was a disappointing experience. Food : good starters and dessert , but the main courses were plain looking, portions too big and unimaginatively prepared. Wine list: good Other cons: outside lighting is inadequate and that is a pity Overall enjoyment of the meal ruined by constant stream of street sellers... More

The place is nice, they have also a lovely terrace outside with tables and everything. The staff seemed to be okay. We went there pretty late so they were not doing cocktails anymore at that hour in the night. I would like to go back and try out their food and cocktails.

The place to be on a Saturday night, very friendly staff, helped us with Information of the night buses to get back to the hotel. Very nice place, the only tourists there were us two :) which made it authentical. Worth trying, definitely!

Interesting historical place , with a very friendly staff . The service is slow the menu looks attractive but the dishes are just average quality . Small interesting list of wine , hip roman crowd . Probably Better for a drink

We were a big group of 17 people on a busy Saturday night at Bar Necci. We all loved our meals! The menu is definitely Italian, but it has a slight modern twist, which is so refreshing. And they really deliver on taste and presentation. The scallops were so good! The atmosphere is lively, but you can still here each... More

Very slow start to get going, but once the food was in front and consumed it forgave the slow almost ignoring service. I would go back for the food.

We enjoyed our lunch at Necci. All the pastas we tried were very good, perfectly cooked and tasty. Attentive and friendly service. Maybe just a bit pricey.
