Bland, Banal, Blech.

I did not expect to come across a pre-fab pizza crust while in Italy, but guess what! You CAN find them. Stopped in as we were short on time to get to the Vatican for a scheduled tour and it was directly on our route versus the restaurant we'd originally picked (200 Gradi). Decent enough décor... read more

Despite the last few poor reviews, we ventured in cos the servers were friendly and the £10 set meals deals were too good to resist. No regrets. No the best pasta but it's average nice. And the mix grill (steak, chicken filet) at £28, was good and a good size portion to be shared by 2. Do ask for their... More

Wouldn't go here again - and if we'd checked Trip Advisor wouldn 't have gone this time. Just for a late lunch snack but iIt was almost empty, sandwiches were tasteless. Coffee OK. Not great ambience although staff seemed fine. What made it even worse though was the cost - not cheap but maybe to be expected given the location... More

Be extremely careful about eating here. Practically everything is frozen and it even states this on the back of their menu. The waiter however did not point this out before we sat down and when we did find out we decided not to continue with our meal and left after the starter. The starter I had was Bruscetta, very very... More

I wouldn't normally go to place on a mean road full of tourist but after 8 hours of browsing Rome I wasn't in mood to looks elsewhere and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered buffalo mozzarella pizza without tomato sauce with prosciutto and it was really really good pizza. Decoration was nice and colorful. Staff rude and charging 15% service... More

We saw this restaurant after touring this area and by the looks of it and the location we said "Lets eat here." What a mistake! The food has to be the worst food we've ever had. It was tasteless with no seasoning. It tasted as if it had been in a can that expired 10 years ago, they found it,... More

After long walk from Vatican tour, we just seated and ordered 2 pastas, 1 pizza, 1 potato chips, and 2 can of coke. We waited long, service was no good, taste was bad, quantity was small, and finally we paid for 67 Euro. How come this terrible restaurant can survive until now?

We were a group of seven and we found this restaurant in a lovely corner with plants hanging from umbrellas. the menu and the waiters were very good but after ordering the food the portions were very very small. we had to order a pizza after a plate of spaghetti as we were all still hungry. When we finished and... More

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighborhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighborhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighborhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
