Bad food, hidden charges

15% service charge, expensive but bad food. We had a Margherita pizza and it was awful. I have had better pizza from Dominos. Table next to us had chicken that looked like rubber. Definitely a tourist trap.

Exquisite Tiramisu in an attractive trattoria overlooking a garden in the heart of Rome. Finish your visit to Vatican City with the wonderful cuisine of Anji 70. Warm service and smiles from the waiters rounded up a lovely experience.

Terrible place, really bad food, unpleasant staff and hidden fees. They live off guest-tourists who visit them only once, so they treat them in a horrible way and want to earn as much as they can.

I want to start by saying that the service I've received in Rome has ranged from great to outstanding. This place has been the one exception. The waitress was simply awful and acted like she could be bothered with serving me. When she brought me my mediocre coffee, she placed it on the table as far away from me as... More

The restaurant highlights all the worst of this quality: 1) they serve you chicken breast for veal cutlet. 2) Charge 8€ your kid drinks pretending they are cocktails. 3) do not order half bottle of wine, this bottle are refilled with cheap and "dangerous" liquid. 4) Plus the 15% gratuity.... I think most has already been said. Long waits, hidden fees and rude staff. We are surprised they are still in business. Wish I checked in on Trip Advisor quickly before sitting down.

First of all, it is a horrible place and you should run for your lives - it is the tourist trap !!! They charge 15% extra cost, and the prices are already high! WiFi is not working, the toilet is disastrous, the hygiene .,... Thank God we only took water and 4 coffees - 28 EUR....

Unfortunately we fell on this place whilst heading to the Metro. What a shocker... The food is the worst I have tasted in Italy. Pizza's dripping in oil, pasta pre made, bruschetta should be the one not to get wrong but I was sadly mistaken. Didn't eat the food and still had to pay full price!! AVOID!!

I had to eat in this restaurant again even that i did like it the first time. And it seems that it is not getting better. Just not your roman choice.

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighborhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighborhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighborhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
