Italian friends took us to this establishment where we had some very good red wine, your usual pasta and salad, and a superb apple tort (almost like a strudel) which our server admitted was more from a French recipe than anything Italian -- but call it what you will, we called it superior. The cost was very modest.

We live near this restaurant and it's always our default place if we go out with friends. Food is reliably good (grilled fish is memorable), the atmosphere is friendly but professional, the restaurant is usually busy but not noisy. The menu has a few daily specials, but mostly this is classic Roman food, fresh and unfussy. Family run. Decent choice... More

This restaurant has been around for a long time but its golden days are over. The food is nothing to rave about, the prices are too high and the service varies based in who happens to take your order. I believe there are new owners now running the place, as I've noticed they now have a website and have me... More

Warm and friendly service and good food. Full of locals which is always a good sign. We had pizza and pasta, both full of flavour.

We went to La Greppia for lunch, but on a vacation day. We were welcomed by a very kind hostess in a really nicely decorated place. To sum up our experience I would say: simply excellent! Food is really good and abundant, the place is cozy, people are very kind. We'll certainly go back! There is a huge variaty of... More

Staying in Flaminio

Neighborhood Profile
Flaminio
The Flaminio area has been making a name for itself as a hub for contemporary architecture and art. Over the past decade, Flamino’s grassy knolls have seen the rise of cultural centers - amazing feats of architecture like the beautiful Ponte della Musica, the wavy contemporary art MAXXI Museum, and the futuristic Parco della Musica, a music complex where international names perform. Flaminio also has traces of the 1960 Olympic Games with Palazzetto dello Sport and Villagio Olimpico, the athlete’s Olympic village turned residential housing. If culture means a ball and a foot, keep your eye on the prize: Rome’s famed Stadio Olimpico soccer stadium is just a short walk across a bridge.
