The little quaint restaurant is located off Via della Scrofa, about two minutes' walk from Piazza Navona and Pantheon, in a tiny and quiet street. Everything was perfect about this place, the charming location, the friendly, polite and efficient service, the budget-friendly prices and, certainly, their food. The oxtail special was simply amazing, the langoustines appetizer and the sea bass... More

We chose this restaurant because of the high ranking on trip advisor. The decor and service were fine....the food was not! My partner chose a grilled lamb "special", which turned out to be mainly fat and gristle. She left 75% of the meal. When the waitress collected the plates I complained about the quality of the food, adding that my... More

Good restaurant near pizza Navona in the old town of Rome. Best gnocchi with mussels I've ever tried, superb flavour. Good prosecco wine and fine service. Recommended

We visited this restaurant on a trip to Rome in February so this review is a little late but I wanted to write it as we had such a lovely meal here! I found the restaurant online in a "Best Restaurants in Rome" article when looking for somewhere to dine near where we were staying by the Pantheon but which... More

My husband & I chose to eat here after other reviews. We're so, so pleased we decided to!!! The food was delicious & each ingredient on the plate complimented each other. Without a doubt I would recommend this restaurant to any one visiting Rome. It may be worth getting a taxi as it is a hidden gem down a tiny... More

What a lovely experience we had at Al Duello. Intimate and welcoming restaurant where staff were so friendly to us, we were offered a glass of prosecco on arrival after booking our table 2 hours before on a Saturday evening and had to wait for our table for no longer than 5 minutes. Service, quality and dining experience, superb.

Leans toward the fine dining end of Rome's restaurants. Expect to pay around 50 Euros per person for three courses plus a glass of wine. Great food, wine list starts at 17 Euros per bottle. We particularly enjoyed the antipasto dish 'Il Fiori', stuffed zucchini flowers wrapped in pancetta. The toilet facilities could do with an upgrade though and don't... More

I ate here twice on a recent fun girl's trip to Rome. I have been before and wanted to share this lovely place with great food with my friends. They were not disappointed. The staff continues to be some of the most pleasant people anywhere! The food is always fabulous.

The best of the restaurant is Martina the bright and friendly owner / host... she clearly loves her customers and knows the menu inside and out. the meal was superb, starting with their involtini melanzane... simply roasted eggplant like a lighter version of eggplant parmigiano in pastry... the other, mussel soup, steamed mussels in a delightful fresh tomato broth. the... My wife and I made reservations at Al Duello based on TripAdvisor reviews. But those reviews did not begin to sufficiently praise this gem. We shared and tasted all of each other’s courses as they were served. We were both quite happy with EVERYTHING in our dinners. We must specifically mention an antipasto that Al Duello called “Il Fiori,” described... More
