Our hotel made our reservation for us but said they had never heard of this place however I read quite a few nice reviews online about it. It's cute and charming place. It's not located near anything very touristy although it appeared that the other diners were tourists. It's sort of in an unassuming location. We visited this restaurant in... More

Booked this restaurant on the back of other tripadvisor reviews. Not easy to find, but a nice little restaurant. Service excellent, food very good. Ambience poor. Not many people in the restaurant, therefore service very quick. If you like time to talk to the wife (I've been married for 10 years so not that bothered), not the place for you!... More

This review is based on two visits. The first a Saturday night and the other a Monday. The staff were completely different on each night, but both were very good, as was the food. The restaurant decor is subtle, pleasant and far removed from the many tourist focused eateries in the area. This restaurant is tucked away on a back... More

Situated very close to Piazza Navona in a little street off the usual touristic restaurants. Runned by a young Italian couple, with the husband in the kitchen and the wife in the restaurant. Innovative Italian cuisine, something different to the usual pasta n pizzas touristic places. The food and service is excellent. Great wines are recommended to accompany your meal.... More

For out last evening in Rome, we wanted a special meal. Taking heed of the advice that while the piazza dining was charming, the best food was on the back streets, we followedthe Tripadvisor reviews and found our way to Al Duello just a few blocks from our hotel. What a great choice! Charming staff which really hustles although the... More

We visited Al Duello based on the reading about it on Trip Advisor. It is located near the busy Pantheon area but on a short ( 1/2 block street) that makes it somewhat hard to find. However, it is truly worth the effort. Many of their 7.30 ish customers seemed to be Trip Advisor readers as well as we heard... More

Al Duello is a little hard to find but, once there, you'll meet Martina and everything will be OK. Martina (front of house) and her husband (chef and back of house) bought the restaurant about a year ago and make you feel you've stepped into their home. We had three dinners there and didn't ever read the entire menu. We'd... More

I hadn't scoped a restaurant for a Saturday night dinner in Rome and the family was very concerned, so during our pit stop back at the apartment I started trolling the review sites. After some looking I kept coming back to a 5 • (!!) restaurant on TA that happened to be um....right next door to our flat...so we went... More
