Tasty food, reasonably priced

We stumbled across the place looking for somewhere to have lunch. It's a short walk from St Peters Square. Food was very tasty and reasonably priced. We stumbled upon this restaurant by pure luck. We were hungry, tired, and ready to call it quits. Luckily, there was a table for two and we eagerly ordered. We split a pizza and ordered the ricotta ravioli and pepper and cheese pasta. Simply the best! Tips: Wifi is free, but you must ask for the password (like all other... More

We found "La Pancia Felice" getting out of The Vatican. It's a nice place, small but really cute and cosy. The food was good and good price! Menú 13€ (toast with tomato, pizza, water and coffee) and pizzas around 8€. Nothing comparing other places! (We have payed 5€ just for a capuccino....!!! 0_O) And the service was quick and friendly.... More

We discovered "La Pancia Felice" when we were wandering the streets on the other side of the wall from The Vatican. There were loads of restaurants in the area but this one looked quite traditional, a bit quirky and there were a group of locals having a business lunch here. We thought this was a good sign. And it was,... More

Short menu choice. Poor food quality. Not value for money. Internet service offered but not working. Absolute disaster

We ate Probably the best Calzone in our lives, and trust other food was good as well, with normal prices. The only thing we felt wrong is that in such a compact place, we felt overlooked. Had to wait a while for the menu, even though the waiters were all the time around is, and they did not approach or... More

We didn't expect too much of somewhere so close to the Vatican, we expected average tourist food, but the dishes were fresh and tasty and the pizzas looked great, lots of locals in too. Service was a bit hit and miss, we had to ask for drinks a few times, but in the end they forgot to charge us for... More

After visiting St Peters we had lunch here. We weren't expecting much given that it was in a big tourist area. My lasagna was very good. Be aware though, that you will be charged for the bread that will be brought before your meal - so say no if you don't it. We enjoyed it though with olive oil and... More

Looking for a restaurant to have a relaxed lunch, eight of us stumbled on this little trattoria on our way to St. Peter's Basilica. The freezing temperature and the fact that they were packed initially deterred us, but the Patron quickly offered us a bottle of Prosecco and a couple of large whiskies and immediately put on the gas outside... Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighborhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighborhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighborhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
