Cured meats

Great thin crispy pizzas, big portions, the bean soup is a meal in itself, but the cured meats are this restaurant's USP. Very friendly staff and always busy.

This is another of our favorite restaurants in Rome. We ate at this restaurant for the first time in 2014 and loved it so much we decided to return in 2015. The steak was amazing, pasta with cheese and black pepper excellent. Prices are very reasonable. If you get the chance try it I believe you will like it.

After paying for an expensive meal the night before in the Piazza Navona we were looking for something more authentic and away from the really busy tourist spots. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough! For 2 people we paid around €60 for 3 courses, plenty of drinks and it included a service charge. The staff were excellent the atmosphere... More

It doesn't look like much from the outside but it's wonderful inside, and even if it looks full they have a lot more space in the second room. They have the classic Italian food menu with everything including pizza and pasta but the spectacular thing is their selection of cured meats and sausages which they serve in many of their... More

Not value for money. We order a meat plater for 4 people , 3 beers and a glass of wine and we paid 64 euros.

After a long day exploring tourist sites this little restaurant was a great find. Good, home style type food. Appetizers, mains and half a litre of house wine for EUR 40. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

After a long day walking the streets of Rome, we stumbled upon this traditional pizzeria by chance... So very thankful we did! From the moment we stepped in the front door we knew we had made the right choice... The waiter was a sheer delight... Smiling and warm and so welcoming. Also a good sign... The many locals eating alongside... More

A real rustic affair! We had a lovely time, our host was great, friendly, fun and just what we needed after a long trek around the city. The food was fab, nothing fancy but we didn't want fancy we wanted rustic home cooked food. Would highly recommend this place to any Rome visitor!

Forgive the delay in reviewing this delightful ristorante. We were staying two blocks away and I had a list of 'recommended' restaurants I wanted to try. So I asked our hotel staff and they quickly suggested La Scalinata. Don't let the entrance or the # rating on Trip Advisor fool you, this is a wonderful place to feel like a... More

Stayed at a nearby hotel and wound up eating here one evening. We had a bad experience with the waiter who seemed annoyed with us from the outset and gave us poor service. Food turned out to be better than the service.

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
