Enjoyable nice Greek Restaurant

We were looking for something slightly different from traditional italian food, and came across this restaurant after reading a few reviews on tripadvisor. A lot of the reviews were correct; they serve good food, good service at reasonable price. We ate there twice, both times good. We ate: Gyros... read more

Greek restaurants are great when in Greece, but on a Sunday night when there wasn't much open near our hotel, we chose one in Rome! The staff were great and the food was fantastic. Meatballs to start then Moussaka for my wife and lamb skewers for me, with a Greek salad between us. Everything was pretty authentic and reasonably priced.... More

There's a video playing in this ultra friendly restaurant of Kos town, the owner apparently used to live there - made us, who have been their sooo many times, feel very much at home. Don't feel at all ashamed about enjoying a Greek meal - meatballs, avocado dip, pitta - and then gyros in Rome. Good as anything you'd find... More

Had a lovely meal here with my husband. Popular busy restaurant. Staff very nice and friendly. A little bit of Greece in Rome.

I was on a Travel Study adventure in Rome and tripped over Ippokrates restaurant which was right down the street from our hotel. FABULOUS food and great service. I enjoyed it so much that I went back for dinner the next night. Delicious!

I've been once to Ippokrates. Greek plates are not bad with good portion. It's an unexpensive place to try greek cousine

I came here to celebrate my 23rd birthday with my cousins. Beside the fact that our waiter was an extremely nice, good looking guy (which never hurts) we truly had a fantastic meal! The three of us went for the mix of appetizers and a small second course. We were stuffed by the end! Everything was delicate, tasty, and well... More

The food was very good. We were looking to change things up from the usual bread, pasta, pizza you find all around Italy. Specialty restaurants are difficult to come by throughout the cities and this was a wonderful find. We had a greek salad, moussaka, and spanakopita. The taste is very similar to that which you would find in Greece--fabulous!... More

The house wine, gyros plate (pork meat) and the chef dessert were excellent . Price are good compare to other Rome Italian restaurants.Portions size (good one) like Texas USA size (where we are from). I really recommended this restaurant if you are tired of Italian food , or want to try new food in Rome.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
