The buffet lunch here is excellent. A large choice of very good food with lots of vegetable options which we loved. Visited twice, it was so good, and would have gone again if we hadn't been exploring Rome so much. The staff were helpful and friendly and the little bistro/bookshop is a delight. Would highly recommend you give it a... More

I really liked Assaggi, the family are lovely and speak good English so didn't have to embarrass myself with the little bit of Italian I know... The buffet was great, good selection of food and good value. We went there twice, once for a drink while on a mooch and the second for lunch. Would recommend to others who don't... More

While wandering around Rome in November, 2014, we walked a few blocks from the Fountain of Trevi and came across this little cafe. There was a billboard outside advertising a lunch buffet, so we entered and were pleasantly surprised. Most of the items were vegetables, but there were several meat dishes, quite a variety in total. All were attractively presented,... More

We had floundered around Rome desperate for a sit down and a snack and found this gem of a place on a side road leading to Central Rome. There are not a lot of tables and we were lucky that there were few customers. The staff were very accommodating and spoke perfect English, we were not there to eat which... More

Stumbled on this restaurant, and were warmly greeted by the staff. Excellent Manhattan for hubby and white wine for me, followed by delicious gnocchi and salad with smoked salmon. Just a delightful place, and very reasonably priced.

We stopped here after walking past Trevi Fountain. In broken English was were offered food and a drink for €9 each. No idea what the food was.. So, we had a cocktail (Mojito and Ugo) and a plate of italian tapas each, Small pizza, salami bun, pasta, + 3 other tasty snacks. The food was excellent, and the cocktails were... More

So I did not want the buffet, only soup. The nice waiter explained that soup was for"winter" then added that he would check with the kitchen to see if they would make me one soup.. Well, the kitchen did, and it was great! A hearty vegetable purée with oil dipped croutons. My husband had the buffet and really liked the... More

After eating many poor meals we found this lovely place by accident. Bright and clean. Well presented delicious food. Friendly staff. Wish we'd found it sooner.

We went here whilst passing by for aperitif, which is essentially where you buy a drink and they provide you with food. The wine was wonderful, and the food was fantastic, with a small quiche, cous cous dish, rice, pastries- I was full! The staff were helpful and it was more peaceful than many Rome restaurants as was not on... More

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
