Nice low budget place for lunch

This 'Hostaria' behind the Pantheon offers descent food and drink at a very reasonable price. The menu is quite rich in choice. The food is prepared well. Staff is very friendly. It's not a fancy place, nor has it that ambition. What you see is what you get. A solid place to keep in mind when... read more

Bland food but reasonably priced. No tourist extras/surprises on bill as we've experienced numerous times on our trip. Not memorable, food. I had seafood spaghetti, lots of rubbery sea things inside with little or no taste. Lovely free glass of house "sexy wine" at end of meal with fruit bowl (have to peel and chop it yourself) but a nice... More

Food was very good and cheap. Also very good service. Sexy wine on the house waa a nice touch in the end. Its a sweet dessert wine. The place smelled like tobacco though which was slightly unpleasant.

Miscellanea is behind Pantheon on Via Della Palombella cozy street. We arrived late and decided to seat outside despite being a bit chilly. Among other dishes, we had the special ravioli which were delicious along with a bottle of local white wine which paired very well wit our food and to finish off a glass of the fancy Fragolino,(strawberry sparkling... This was a strange place. Seemed to be an Italian restaurant with a American theme going on. It didn't feel too authentic! The food was average, the staff were ok. It was cold inside temperature wise, but also generally a bit uninviting. Went here on 1st night before had chance to properly explore, there are better places around. It seemed... More

I came here twice. On the first occasion was after our tour group was recommended to eat here for dinner so about 10 of us did. We were not disappointed. The meals were really tasty and really cheap, most between 5 and 10 euro. We were also provided with free bread and after the meal we were given baskets of... More

After visiting the Pantheon it was midafternoon and we were hungry. This places sits very near the square. There were outdoor tables available and we grabbed one. (note: several other places nearby are not open midafternoon) The place is clearly oriented to tourists, especially college students, as evidenced by the lists of colleges who have lisited the place hanging on... We came over this place looking for a quick lunch. We had a pizza and a coke each. We paid (inkl their own tips) ?22. The food was ok, but the place was a bit dirty. My girlfriend said the toilets was awful. Ok service. We'll choose another restaurant next time.
