Wow! We were on the lookout for some lunch before starting a Vatican tour and were enticed in by the waiter offering a lunch deal. We opted for a €10 deal for pasta, salad, gelato and a beer (service included). We also ordered a bottle of water and some bruschetta. The drinks came quite promptly and followed not long after... Lured in by the 13 euro dinner special! Food took hours to come out! Probably to make us drink more. Soup was ok but veal was sliced deli style like ham and awful! Salad was lettuce with a few slices of carrot. Staff were nice but not Italian and were most likely Indian which should have been a giveaway! Sitting... More

We walked into this restaurant because we got a pamphlet with menus on it. They looked good. However, when we sat down, only 2 other families were there. We searched the reviews on Trip Advisor and found that this was not a very good restaurant. As we had already ordered, we stayed. The lasagne was OK as a starter (they... More

Have just left this restaurant which sadly will be the last one we visit on an otherwise brilliant trip to Rome. The waiters lure you in with a meal deal type menu for meals around €10 but once sat down they give you their proper expensive menu. The waiters were pushy and very very rude! The guy we had kept... Anyone who says you can't get a bad meal in Rome has not eaten at DaGiuliana. We had evening tickets to the Vatican museum and wanted to eat nearby. The waiter outside pushing for business points to his board and shows us an all inclusive 3 course meal for 13€. When we sat and tried to order a bottle of... More

I'm sitting in the middle of dinner writing this as because the service is so terrible, I have actually lost the will to live, let alone touch the pitiful dish that has been served up by a bunch of rude waiters. There is no saving grace for these bozos. Food took 1 hour 10 mins, with a gap of at... More

This is the worst restaurant i've ever been. Owners are obviously no italiens. Service is more than bad, service even worse. At the end they charge you with 20% service charge. They are agrreivel hunting for tourists. Too bad i don't live in Rome. I would ask my laywer if everything is legal what they are doing

We thought we would try here but should have checked the reviews first. Meals were overpriced for what we had and were surprised to have a 20% service charge added. When we complained the waiter said it stated that on the menu. Pity they don't mention that when they give you the menu. We will not be returning there again!

After a long day sightseeing we were famished and tired and simply wanted some decent pasta for dinner. We took a risk and went here as it was nearby and still open. Should have read the reviews first. We asked to sit inside and our server asked if we were Americans. We said we were and next thing you know,... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
