Fresh, authentic pizza

This place is simply about the pizza. Ate here on our first night with 2 kids in tow. Fabulous pizza, really fresh cheese and great chewy crust. They gave us a box to take home the leftovers! Service very Italian, efficient but frill- free. Recommend.

Upon recommendation by a local we had dinner here and it was exactly what we were hoping to find in Rome. 2 x Starters, 2 x Pizza and a bottle of house red for about 40 euros. Great experience surrounded by locals down a quaint cobblestoned Roman street!

Great pizzas! Not boring tourist food, a wide range of very good italian pizza: both red and white pizzas. Cosy and chilled out.

Outstanding pizza. Shortly after we were seated, a delivery of fresh ingredients arrived through the door-- and you could taste the freshness in the pizza. We tried four kinds: Margherita, Agrippina, Caprese, and Raddicchio e Gorgonzola. Perfect with the house Red wine.

Our italian landlord recommended us this place and we loved it. We had two authentic pizzas for dinner and we loved it. Service is a bit slow but it doesnt matter as the food is worthy!!

Trastevere evenings provide a variety of places to eat, but for authentic pizza this is one of the best. A place with character, good & abundant choice of pizza's and wines and desserts! And you won't break the bank! Enjoyable night out in this Rome pizzeria as it should be!

We had two different pizzas. The price with 8 Euro per pizza was fair but the pizza was average. I can't believe that this should be the best in Rome. The service was poor and we didn't feel welcome at all.

We visited this place for dinner on a saturday evening. The accommodated us eventhough we did not have a reservation. The ambience does not justify the food though. We had bruschetta woth tomato. The bread was slightly over toasted but not too bad. We also ordered the pizza with buffalo cheese and tomatoes. Both of us are not big pizza... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
