Saw this in a guide to the city and wanted to go and discover this area anyway. Loved it, lovely atmosphere and the staff were sweet and efficient and it is in a good cause. This extends to the wine list choosing small vineyards and a great choice at that. Stuffed pasta and nibbles to start such as stuffed olives... More

It's located at a nice small piazza and you can sit outside. I'm quite picky (read foodnerd) when it comes to choosing restaurants and was a bit worried since I hadn't read any reviews. We had Vitello Tonnato and Polpette alla Cacciatore. Delicious!! (And less than 15 €/dish) Would also highly recommend the Tiramisu and Creme Brûlée! The staff is... More

Nice quiet square in Trastevere, close to the bigger noisy squares of the neighborhood but with character of its own. We discovered this place with great food and service, some original dishes and old favorites. I loved the lasagna. We also liked their mission and coop business model.

We arrived in this restaurant by chance, looking for a (not too) typical roman restaurant not too crowded; it's in a small quiet square in Trastevere, we had an excellent dinner at a reasonable price and while we were waiting for our food, we read the info on the paper table cloth and learnt that part of the staff were... Great food and reasonable wine in a friendly atmosphere, and supporting a wonderful project with the helpers.

We stumbled across this place quite by accident on our last night in Rome and wish we had found it sooner. We learned that the restaurant employs disabled staff and is part of a community project / collective to do so, which is marvellous. The food was excellent and the service was very good too. Would definitely go back.

We really enjoyed the vening here. I can't remember what we ordered, but I do remember being very impressed both by the food and by the way in which the mixed able/handicapped team looked after us. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and I wouldn't hesitate to return when in Trastevere.

I feel terrible about giving such a low score, because this is a restaurant with a CAUSE, if ever you can find one! All the staff is very helpful, and you really notice the support provided to the disabled people working there, and they are fast and efficient. It makes you feel good! But the food is really (very) bad,... More

We have eaten here several times, and always been happy. The USP is that it employs disabled people, and that is good. But it stands on its own as a great place for a relaxing weekend lunch. There are interesting dishes and great wine, and we can thoroughly recommend it.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
