Lunch after colosseum

We wandered into this little gem after touring the colosseum. We were hot and sweaty and this little place was dark and cool. They have a jazz music theme. There were also many locals here. I had a mixed plate of cured meat, arugula salad, and orzo/veggie salad. It was light, tasty, and filling. My... read more

We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of the owner of the apartment we were renting a couple of blocks away. It was our last day in Rome so we really wanted to have a good experience. This is a lovely restaurant with great food. The service was spot on. It was a wonderful way to end our vacation.

We came across this bar not far from the Colosseum and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wine and light bites on offer. Friendly service and convivial decor and service. Good on price and service. Recommended for a relaxing drink and to escape the hustle and bustle of Rome.

My husband and I dined here 2 nights during our stay and the staff was very friendly to us and made us feel right at home. The food and wine are delicious and was made even better by the lovely live music they have on weekend nights!

h ere you can relax in a good quiet and pittoresque roman bar with good music and small dishes to go with the wines. wines can be bought by glasses. the neighbourhood is safe and Residential. you´ll get good advice if you ask the waiter about the wine.

Very friendly and accommodating place. We were able to arrange a wine tasting for 14 people on short notice and had a wonderful experience there. The appetizers served with the wine were very good and the wines picked gave a nice balanced tasting. Would recommend it.

My husband and I stayed in a apartment just up the street from Il Pentagrappolo and ended a couple of our evenings there. We didn't get to experience any live music (which sounds like it would be awesome), but the wine and hospitality were en pointe. Such a cool spot! I want to go back right now! :-)

We asked the concierge at Palazzo Manfredi for an unpretentious, simple, friendly wine bar and that's what we got with Pentagrappolo. It feels like a local residential neighborhood, despite being so close to the Colosseum and the varied wines by the glass, prosciutto and cheeses help you feel at home very quickly. As other reviewers have mentioned, there's live music... More
