Perfect snack spot near Colosseum!

My wife and I found this place while walking near the Colosseum one afternoon. It looked very classy from the outside versus the more casual mom and pop snack bars around the area. We checked the menu and it looked like a perfect spot for espresso's and a sandwich. Inside was very tastefully... read more

My wife and I found this place while walking near the Colosseum one afternoon. It looked very classy from the outside versus the more casual mom and pop snack bars around the area. We checked the menu and it looked like a perfect spot for espresso's and a sandwich. Inside was very tastefully decorated and it became obvious to us... More

I was here because it was recommended on Tripadvisor and the fork, I had a carpaccio and and some cheese. Food was OK, wine was OK and it was nice sitting here listening to live music in a cosey athmosphere.

Went here late with Italian locals. Had a lovely time and got rather happy on wine and grappa. Limited menu but terrific selection of cured meats, cheeses and salads, from which we put together a delightful meal that we all shared. A gentleman on guitar kept us entertained without overpowering our conversation or vise versa. Service was a bit spotty... More

Popular with locals at lunchtime, this enoteca and piano bar is a short walk from the Colosseum (about 500 metres). They have a lunch menu with a selection of sandwiches (on piadina or baguette) at about 7 euros each, and a special of the day, which was basmati rice with chicken curry (not very Italian, but they were all having... A place to eat late and enjoy the city's night life in a great neighborhood. The food is simple but good and reasonable prices. The is a real Piano and often a player to go along with it.

To begin, the wine was very nice. We had lunch there and they could give as a very nice wine for this occasion. The food was also very nice and the people were outstanding. I would really suggest stopping at this restaurant

We were underwhelmed with our experience here- but I would be prepared to try it again to be sure it wasn't just a one off - off pace night, considering how good the lunch time reviews are. The snacks were served by a harried woman cleaning out back. We came for an aperitivo, and wines were very good and well... More

We wandered into this little gem after touring the colosseum. We were hot and sweaty and this little place was dark and cool. They have a jazz music theme. There were also many locals here. I had a mixed plate of cured meat, arugula salad, and orzo/veggie salad. It was light, tasty, and filling. My husband had a ham and... More

We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of the owner of the apartment we were renting a couple of blocks away. It was our last day in Rome so we really wanted to have a good experience. This is a lovely restaurant with great food. The service was spot on. It was a wonderful way to end our vacation.
