I was recommended this restaurant by the concierge at the Waldorf Astoria in Rome. Meal good but not the best we had in Rome. Service started off well then it became obvious once we had finished our main course that they wanted our table and we were constantly hassled about dessert and coffee. We had not even finished our wine... More

very nice is the area of Rome where this restaurant is located. Very nice is also the inside, without any exaggeration but with a solid warm atmosphere. The food is excellent, starting from the choice of raw materials they have (try their pastas with pecorino cheese, and see what I mean). Prices are not too popular, but it is definitely... More

Having been to Rome a heap of times, we went to Clemente alla Maddalenna on the recommendation of our hotel. We rarely do this so we don't end up at a "tourist" restaurant. Unfortunately most of the restaurants we love are closed on Sundays so we did not have a lot of options. The location of the restaurant is around... More

We took the concierge's advice for a good restaurant for lunch near the Pantheon in a Rome and were not disappointed. Being January, we ate inside and were impressed by its cosy feel. We'd guess this would be a very nice place to eat in the evening. The food and wine was good and the service attentive. The only reason... More

This is a cosy restaurant on what was a rather cool evening in Rome. We had the tasting menu which turn out to be a good choice. The recommended wine was also very good. The service was efficient, without being rushed. There was a good atmosphere, on a Wednesday evening. I would like to go on a summers night.

Friendly faces, with a open atmosphere. Food was great and willing to accommodate starts from the main meal section. Would come back again

The setting for Clemente is wonderful, in a romantic square surrounded by wonderful architecture...that is about the best thing you can say about this restaurant. The staff were rude and aloof, not at all interested in talking us through the menu or making recommendations, a very poor quality service. The food is very expensive and of poor to average quality,... More

I recently had a business meal at Clemente, a place I'd been half a dozen time before. The food is never disappointing, although the menu does not change often. The wine list is acceptable, the service is a bit old school, and especially in the warmer months geared towards tourists. In any case my guests were happy with the dinner... More
