Description: La Fontana di Venere is a small, delightful restaurant located in an ancient building in the centre of Rome, near the Trevi Fountain. The owners will welcome you heartily and make you feel like part of the family. You'll take a seat, and maybe the person sitting next to your table will be a taxi driver enjoying a well-deserved rest with his family. He'll tell you how much beautiful Rome is and will talk about a niche that only he knows. Or maybe you will meet some travellers and then you'll have a little talk about the memories and emotions that every journey leaves inside us. Every day and every night, in this little corner of the ancient Rome, the ritual is repeated: dozens of people come here to rediscover the flavours which made the Roman cuisine famous and it seems like you're having dinner with many friends. Come in, relax, look at your neighbour and enhance your presence with a smile, you have a lot of stories to tell each other....

Turned up early evening (opens at 7:00) just before the rush, lucky we did as it became very busy around 8:00. Good set menus but we only needed a plate of pasta. Three of the four of us selected the Fettuccine di Venere, four large prawns and cherry tomatoes in pesto with the pasta. Super flavours that really hit the... More

After hesitating to go in this restaurant due it's proximity to the Trevi Fountain and the usual tourist traps that surround such locations, we were so glad we had dinner there. The restaurant is very cosy, staff is super friendly and the pasta is just amazing. Go for the seafood spaghetti, you won't regret it! And make sure to book... More

On our last night in Rome we decided to follow trip advisor and indulge ourselves. The restaurant was tough to track down, but boy was it worth it! I literally signed up to trip advisor just to write this review. We had what we would describe as the most delicious pasta ever! We begged for the recipe, so hopefully they... More

With many, many restaurants in Rome to choose from finding one that stands out is very much trial and error, however we read the reviews for this restaurant and booked a table. Good job we booked as it was full and we quickly realised why. The food is great and reasonably priced, the wine is varied and again reasonably priced... More

My friend and I were looking for somewhere to eat around the Trevi Fountain that was not going to break the bank. We had read reviews online and hunted out the restaurant as it wouldn't be something you would randomly come across. The food was delicious, I had the lasagne and it was beautifully tasting and presented nicely, very delicious.... More

but still a very nice place for a dinner! They worked very hard with their TripAdvisor profile. Crowded with tourists. Still, we had a very nice dinner. A good wine. and the service was friendly. Recommended. a

Reality is far below what we expected accordingly to the other reviews and scoring. They suggested us a wine which is really not fitted with the meals. Service is friendly but not enough professional and too casual. Most important : food is very average even tasteless (scallopina with wine e.g.). They are far better restaurant is center of Rome for... More

Went to this place after reading reviews and glad we did! It is very easy to find if you're looking for it..but it is unlikely that you would stumble across it. It was super busy but staff were still very pleasant and friendly. They were apologetic at the end for their lack of attention to us - even though we... More

This is our 3rd stay in Rome and we found the restaurant based on TripAdvisor - honestly the pasta venere I ordered was the best pasta I've ever had! My boyfriend had the "Filetto al Pepe verde" and it too was amazing! Highly recomnended.
