Description: La Fontana di Venere is a small, delightful restaurant located in an ancient building in the centre of Rome, near the Trevi Fountain. The owners will welcome you heartily and make you feel like part of the family. You'll take a seat, and maybe the person sitting next to your table will be a taxi driver enjoying a well-deserved rest with his family. He'll tell you how much beautiful Rome is and will talk about a niche that only he knows. Or maybe you will meet some travellers and then you'll have a little talk about the memories and emotions that every journey leaves inside us. Every day and every night, in this little corner of the ancient Rome, the ritual is repeated: dozens of people come here to rediscover the flavours which made the Roman cuisine famous and it seems like you're having dinner with many friends. Come in, relax, look at your neighbour and enhance your presence with a smile, you have a lot of stories to tell each other....

We arrived at this small lovely restaurant to be greeted by very friendly staff and excellent food! The lasagna is indeed the best in the city and the desserts are simply fantastic

I would have given 5/5 if only they would add one server to their staff! Service was a bit slow by the end of the evening. Beside that, it is a hidden Gen! Highly recommended

We came here on our honeymoon. This place is a surprise, not on the main street, tucked away. The food was extremely tasty, very very tasty! Staff lots of character and polite. The price, very good. We want to go again if we visit Rome again. Highly recommended.

I will remember this place for two reasons: difficulty with finding it and the amount of food we were served. So, let me explain how to find it, local people confidently showed us the wrong direction, that including a policeman. Turn you back to Fontana di Trevi, go about 50 m leftish, towards "10 o'clock" if you imagine a clock,... More

Last year, we went to Rome and search on the web to find the best lasagna in Rome. We found the restaurant on trip advisor and it was in fact one of the best lasagna. So we decided to go back this year with new friends (who also tried lasagna in different restaurant during our trip in italy) and it... More

I found this restaurant from TripAdvisor after reading all the great reviews, and the reviews did not disappoint. It was the best Italian meal my friends and I had during our whole trip! Mixed seafood stew (sorry forgot what it called in Italian) is a MUST! We came back to this restaurant the second time just for that! Pasta was... More

It was my first time visiting Italy and was forewarned about outrageous cost of dining out. We were walking around our hotel and owner's daughter talked us into trying her restaurant out. We were pleasantly surprised to find that food was excellent and the price was very reasonable by Rome standards. We do want to visit Rome again and when... More

Wonderful dinning experience for lunch and for dinner on our Only Day stay in Rome. This restaurant is by far the best Italian me and my boyfriend ever had <3 From classic tomatoes bruschetta, Parma ham melon, Eggplant cheese melt... This was already absolutely delicious. Then we tried their famous Lasagna!!.. words cannot describe!! Never have been more satisfy by... More

We visited this restaurant having read the reviews on trip advisor and were not disappointed. We hadn't booked but a table was found for us. Having chosen our meals we were served complimentary amuse bouche. Our waiter was charming and the food was delicious - we shared the anti pasta platter to start , it was a generous portion and... We were walking near the Trevi fountain when Riad stopped us and talked us into going there for dinner. it's a little off the beaten track but we'll worth it!! It is the cheapest meal we have eaten in Italy and not one of us complained about a single thing.the service was friendly and efficient. They were very accommodating with... More
