Description: La Fontana di Venere is a small, delightful restaurant located in an ancient building in the centre of Rome, near the Trevi Fountain. The owners will welcome you heartily and make you feel like part of the family. You'll take a seat, and maybe the person sitting next to your table will be a taxi driver enjoying a well-deserved rest with his family. He'll tell you how much beautiful Rome is and will talk about a niche that only he knows. Or maybe you will meet some travellers and then you'll have a little talk about the memories and emotions that every journey leaves inside us. Every day and every night, in this little corner of the ancient Rome, the ritual is repeated: dozens of people come here to rediscover the flavours which made the Roman cuisine famous and it seems like you're having dinner with many friends. Come in, relax, look at your neighbour and enhance your presence with a smile, you have a lot of stories to tell each other....

What a gem tucked away in a side street near Trevi fountain. The service was slick and very welcoming with a lot of nice touches added to create a lovely evening. To avoid paying too much you can get a delicious and reasonably priced set menu full of sublime primi piatti and great secondi piatti too (wine can be slightly... More

I've come to a conclusion after 4 ( 2 trips ) months in Europe that fabulous restaurants in large cities are in narrow streets / allys a block or two off the main tourist areas. My wife found this small outstanding restaurant on tripadvisor, It is located a short distance from the Trevi fountain, We had a little difficulty finding... More

I visited this restaurant on October 5th 2014. I was in a party of four and having had a disappointing visit to the Trevi Fountain decided to have dinner here. As soon as we arrived the staff greeted us as if we were one if the family and took our drinks orders quickly. I had a cosmopolitan which was one... More

Small, cozy, comfortable and private! It's difficult to tell which point is the best: if the food (don't miss the pesto pasta and panna cotta... Superb!), the ambience, the wine or the staffs! We were SO LOVELY ATTENDED by Monica and we decided to come back in our last night in Rome! And we had a pleasant surprise to be... More

Tucked away in a quiet street near Trevi Fountain...this place is a gem! Great ambiance! Best dinner and service in 4 nights in Rome! Delicious bruschetta ... We got the spicy salami! Linguini with clams and linguini with seafood for dinner... Both great! Many interesting items on the menu, loved the desserts and the complimentary limoncello. Beautiful place. We were... More

My husband and I made a reservation here for our first wedding anniversary and we are so glad we did. We were seated at a an out of the way table and were treated to a glass of prosecco. While we looked at the menu, we were given complimentary mini quiche appetizers (something they do for all guests). We began... More

We had a lovely dinner at La Fontana. Try the brushetta caprese as a starter - it was amazing. The house wine was lovely - it wasn't quite cold enough but not too bad. We had the ravioli and scampi risotto. Ravioli delicious. Didn't expect the scampi risotto to come with scampi in their shells (so only got three scampi),... More
