Description: La Fontana di Venere is a small, delightful restaurant located in an ancient building in the centre of Rome, near the Trevi Fountain. The owners will welcome you heartily and make you feel like part of the family. You'll take a seat, and maybe the person sitting next to your table will be a taxi driver enjoying a well-deserved rest with his family. He'll tell you how much beautiful Rome is and will talk about a niche that only he knows. Or maybe you will meet some travellers and then you'll have a little talk about the memories and emotions that every journey leaves inside us. Every day and every night, in this little corner of the ancient Rome, the ritual is repeated: dozens of people come here to rediscover the flavours which made the Roman cuisine famous and it seems like you're having dinner with many friends. Come in, relax, look at your neighbour and enhance your presence with a smile, you have a lot of stories to tell each other....

Best restaurant in Rome!! We loved this place it was authentic and just beautiful food! We 'accidently' found this hidden gem in the street whilst being a tourist and asking for the Trevi which is like a 100 yard stone throw from the door! So we stayed for dinner! Best idea. Wonderful service. Not disappointed! Delicious! Real local sourced food... More

Wow this place was amazing! We each got a different set menu ranging from 14-18€. The amount of food was huge and more importantly delicious! They even offered us their home made limoncello on the house to finish our meal. Highly recommended, actually you must try it!

We found this wonderful gem while exploring around the Trevi. It's nestled down a side street minutes away from the famous fountain. We were not disappointed! I got the seafood risotto, which was huge! But my family had no troubles helping me dig into it. We even cam back a second time and our whole table ordered it! This was... More

One of the best pasta place in Rome!! First visit, we went for dinner and ordered a prawn pasta with pesto sauce and seafood linguine. The taste was simply delicious and good portion of pasta with good quality seafood. For second round, we went back for lunch and ordered a lobster linguine pasta for 2 to share. One of the... More

A wonderful gem, hidden away 2 alleys from the Trevi Fountain. Isabella, our tour guide told us she usually went to a family-run restaurant for her lunch during tours. So we followed along (like every other Brit there) and suddenly this small place had an additional 12-15 people for lunch. Not a whisper of complaint, the staff were very welcoming.... More

This charming restaurant near the Trevi Fountain, with a simple but pleasant decor is for those on a budget but who still crave excellent food. Our server, Anna, was a smiling delight and very friendly. My husband's starter was an eggplant pie with burrata cheese. I started with the pasta amatricana. My husband's entree was a sirloin steak with a... More

My wife and I went to this restaurant based on the recommendation of our hotel concierge. The atmosphere at this place is great, the staff is very friendly and fun. If you order one of the combo options, get ready for a lot good food - great value for your money. We came to La Fontana for my birthday dinner... More

Using the usual - pick a busy place wasn't really working for us in Rome so consulted TA for a recommendation. How right all the reviews are - the food was just lovely! Well worth a visit.
