Description: La Fontana di Venere is a small, delightful restaurant located in an ancient building in the centre of Rome, near the Trevi Fountain. The owners will welcome you heartily and make you feel like part of the family. You’ll take a seat, and maybe the person sitting next to your table will be a taxi driver enjoying a well-deserved rest with his family. He’ll tell you how much beautiful Rome is and will talk about a niche that only he knows. Or maybe you will meet some travellers and then you’ll have a little talk about the memories and emotions that every journey leaves inside us. Every day and every night, in this little corner of the ancient Rome, the ritual is repeated: dozens of people come here to rediscover the flavours which made the Roman cuisine famous and it seems like you’re having dinner with many friends. Come in, relax, look at your neighbour and enhance your presence with a smile, you have a lot of stories to tell each other….

After researching nice eating places near to the Trevi Fountain we came up with this little gem. Excellent staff, service and food at very reasonable prices. 3 course meal for the two of us with 1 and a half bottles of wine 115 euros. Just one little problem it was a little hard to find. All in all would really... More

We went to this lovely restaurante twice during our three day stay in Rome, following Trip Advisor's reviews. It was totally worth it! Staff is very friendly and attentive and food is absolutely delicious!!! All the meals are well served and for a reasonable price. I would highly recommend this place. Ps: Book first! The place gets crowded, people know... More

Right behind the Trevi, tucked away in a little alleyway. Lovely and attentive staff, reasonably priced and delicious food. The prosciutto and mozzarella antipasto was great, as were the pesto fettuccine with prawns, veal Milanese and tiramisu. 6 euro cocktails and resonable wine list. Would return.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner and great service. The restaurant was a little hard to find, but well worth looking for.

We had two lovely meals here -- food is wonderful and the staff here is super friendly and very helpful. There's a lot of attention given, which is one reason we decided to eat here twice for dinner in our three nights in Rome! Food was delicious. We had the caprese salad, the spaghetti carbonara with seafood, the spaghetti with clams... More

We were in Rome for 6days and went to several restaurants. And I think this restaurant is the best of those. We ordered 1 appetizer ,3 pasta, half wine, desert, and coffee, totally around 70euro. Everything is good taste, especially "Futtuccine Venere" is my favorite. Volume good, taste good, service good, prices little high (but average in Rome), totally excellent. I... More

The area around Trevi is always busy, so it is great to find this restaurant around a quiet corner. We had their special menu for 40 euro - I had lasagne and bistecca di pollo, by husband had risotto pescatore then veal. Good food, good value with helpful service. We arrived early - which was just as well as it... More

Tucked away in a side street a few metres away from the Fontana di Trevi, here you'll have one of the best meals in Rome. The service was great and the staff was very friendly plus most of the waiters do speak English although we did our best to speak in Italian and they do appreciate that. Very good value... More

After we were seated , we noticed a large table laid out, soon after the tour bus travellers arrived and were seated. That said it all about the restaurant. The place was fairly full and not a single local, was at any table. The food was palatable, but not worth the cost. In the historic centre, it seems hard pressed... More

I found this restaurant through TA review and as always, this restaurant didn't make me disappointed. We ordered Venere and seafood pasta. The price of those pasta is around 12 ~ 16 EUR, it can be little bit expensive. However, considering its location and taste of the pasta, I would like to say that this restaurant is valuable.
