La Fontana di Venere is a small, delightful restaurant located in an ancient building in the centre of Rome, near the Trevi Fountain. The owners will welcome you heartily and make you feel like part of the family. You’ll take a seat, and maybe the person sitting next to your table will be a taxi driver enjoying a well-deserved rest with his family. He’ll tell you how much beautiful Rome is and will talk about a niche that only he knows. Or maybe you will meet some travellers and then you’ll have a little talk about the memories and emotions that every journey leaves inside us. Every day and every night, in this little corner of the ancient Rome, the ritual is repeated: dozens of people come here to rediscover the flavours which made the Roman cuisine famous and it seems like you’re having dinner with many friends. An interesting choice for low-end budget.

Nice, small, friendly place, with interesting variety of dishes at fair pricing -around 25 euros without the wine. The service is efficient and caring. We were offered an extra 10% discount for a possible second visit. The food was great, but we asked for a side dish of French fries that were not... read more

We went here on our first night in Rome as it was near our hotel. It is tucked away down a side street just moments from the Trevi fountain but you probably wouldn't walk past it by accident. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table where we were served small omelette appetisers while we chose what we wanted... More

We went there cause of the good reviews. The service was very good. The atmosphere very good as well. Food wise, we ordered the degustazione menus and as one of the guys in our company was a chef explained to us why these weren't degustazione ones.. First dish was pasta. Very well boiled and tasty and quite a big portion... More

We had read that this restaurant had great lasagna & they most certainly did not disappoint. Both my husband & I got the lasagna. The lasagna was delicious and had such fresh noodles. We had hoped to go back for more lasagna later on our trip, but when we returned they had a set menu for Valentine's Day. Even though... More

A quaint restaurant nestled in the backstreets of Rome, only a couple of minutes walk away from the Trevi Fountain. My boyfriend and I had dinner here after reading all the great reviews, and they definitely weren't wrong - the food was delicious and the service fantastic! We both had the spinach and ricotta ravioli and & highly recommend it.... More

An excellent little restuarant nestled in the backstreets of Rome. Me and the fiancée had lunch here on our final day. We both had pasta recommended by the waitress which was excellent! Also we shared a super bottle of red wine too. The total cost was €55 of which 30 was on wine so this really is an excellent value... More

Excellent food and service. A little off the beaten path near the Trevi Fountain but so worth the search. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. Decor was lovely. We highly recommend this restaurant.

It was a small and quite place very close to Fontana di Trevi. Food was good, service ok beside some rude waiters, price reasonable for Rome. Reservation needed.

Best restaurant we went to on our trip in Rome! The service was great, we even got two free limoncello shots. Highly recommend the lasagne.
