Good

We have decided that Italians want you to savor your food. They wait awhile between courses before approaching you for another. Tonight we had lasagna and the apparently Crab Scampi Risotto even though I ordered Shrimp Scampi Risotto. The Zuppa soup is not Olive Garden, it is vegetable.

My partner and I had a delicious meal earlier on in the evening (which I will also be writing a review about) but had walked past this restaurant earlier in the day and had seen the fabulous looking cakes on display!!! We were not disappointed! After our meal at a different restaurant we decided to take a wonder and try... More

A bit more expensive as near the Colosseum. Was not able to offer a jug of water as didn't have the filter which was a bit disappointing. Beware, the bread basket is charged as bread & service so whether you eat it or not suspect you'd be charged. It was just put on the table so you obviously had it.... More

We were looking for a place to have lunch and decided to try the lasagna at this place. So we ordered 2 lasagnas, a beer and a cola. Waiters were friendly and fast service. The lasagna was good, but the bill of the lunch mentioned before was €35 (of which the beer was €8!) In my opinion too high price... More

We visited and ate at this restaurant many times when we were in Rome 4 years ago, the food was outstanding, decided to eat there again while we were there again this month. Nothing changed, thank goodness, still wonderful food, wine and outstanding service. We will return again the next time we are in Rome. We want to thank Andrey... More

This eatery was set up under a marquee on the sidewalk outside a hotel in a side street off the Colosseum. Three charming young men were ready to entice you to sit and eat. Service was attentive and unobtrusive. I had the Buffalo Mozzarella (a regional delicacy) which came with huge slices of prosciutto. It was a most interesting dish.

We ate at this restaurant today - good location with view of Colosseum from outdoor tables where we sat (with patio heaters), but street was pretty quiet. Service was friendly & the pizzas were good. When they heard it was my husband's birthday, they gave us limoncellos on the house.

Had a really nice meal at this restaurant. There was 4 in our group and everybody enjoyed their meal. The starters were all very nice with the soup particularly good. The wild boar pasta dish was delicious as were the meatballs and the chicken pasta dish. The waiting staff were very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Prices were good... More

I was in Rome with a group and after trying a few restaurants we just had to keep going back to this one. Staff friendly outside and inside. Food was really tasty and none of group had any complaints. We had 15 in our group.

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
