Good food for a nice price

I visit this restaurant each time I am in Rome. Although it is not the best food, you get good value for money and the staff is very friendly. I recommend to take the melanzane all parmegiana as a starter or the arrabiata. As a main dish I definitely recommend the St Peters fish. The small bottle... read more

Set back from the crowds in a quiet square, the terrace is on a wood deck under cover and very private. The tables are set with lovely white table cloths and linen napkins which all add to the ambiance of the place. Used by local business people the food and the service at our lunch was brilliant. Food was delicious... More

A friend wanted to visit this place, but it was closed on tuesday, so we went back on Friday. We got a place under the amazing ceiling (Renaissance?) and had a great night. The place is not cheap, but quality is worth it. We payed 40€ per person for a lavish buffet of starters, a primo, a small secondo and... More

Was taken here while on business in Rome, it was a little out of the way that I dought if I would have found normally if I had not been brought here, it was nice to see the locals eating here and they were very friendly, the food was excellent and the pasta was to die for the sauce tasted... More

We went there to have dinner on a cold night, advised by tripadvisor. Lovely place, great food and sympathetic staff, but definetly not only one "$" worthy - one person meal with only one course and drink never less than 15€, without entries or desserts. However, in termos of quality it does not disapoint. An experience to take if you... More

Picture this - our first night in Rome, it's cold, everywhere seems to open at 7pm but we have children with us so need to eat before this...what to do? We found this place quite by chance, in an unassuming piazza near the Pantheon, next to two other restaurants and hidden behind randomly parked cars. But we were so glad... More

My husband and I wandered around looking for a place to eat on Christmas Eve after finding that the restaurant we had originally planned on going to was closed for the night. I was attracted by the cheaper prices on the menu do we stopped in. The food was not awful here, just bland. The margherita pizza had no tomatoes... More

Lots of great reviews, but I was sorry I went. Maybe it was I ordered, seafood salad. At 14 euro it was only calamari, a few sprigs of rucola & carrots. Very small portion on a bread plate. Had to ask for bread. Other plates around looked good. Am in Rome often, won't be back.

I always try to write reviews thoughtfully and honestly so that readers might have a genuine point of view regarding a restaurant they discover on Trip Advisor and might be considering. And, for reviews of restaurants in Italy, I offer a “heads up” note for readers who might be visiting the country for the first time. Unlike having dinner at... More

This is one of our three favourite restaurants tucked away on a quiet street. Alfredo is a mature server who is absolutely pleasant with a great smile. We enjoyed pizza and salad and the food could not have been better! Hope to be back for sure!
