We at here about three times during our July stay in Rome as it was just around the corner from our hotel and we had four children with us. When in Rome, and if you are staying on the gianicolo or in trastevere (as I did), you will get the real deal - hearty food, attentive service and good, honest prices at Carpe Diem. I did as the Roman do and ate spaghetti amatriciana and then abbachio (lamb) with crunchy potatoes drizzled in olive oil. I washed it all...
