this is a small family restaurant with great food - chef and staff were very friendly and interested in what we ordered and how we liked it. if the smoked pigeon is on the menu - get it - its delicious.

Wow! A very interesting place, the overused phrase "Traditional but with an eye on innovation" really apply here. Small with good attention to details, service friendly but professional. On dessert, croccante with Colatura di Alici was mindblowing. To finish, Music on the background was a tribute to David Bowie, which was for the cherry on the cake.

Twice my wife and I tried to go to this restaurant with our 1 year old baby girl. Twice the smiles on the faces of the staff fell when they saw us try to bring a pram in. All of a sudden they were 'fully booked', although they were quite happy to accomodate us as an adult couple. The second... More

L'Arcangelo has all the air of a bar or pub when you first walk in. The decor looks perhaps like a 1980's version of a traditional Roman restaurant. I only went in for a bowl of pasta and a salad, but came out having had four courses -and none of them was what I ordered. I wanted a small mixed... More

Went to this restaurant on the recommendation of another restaurant owner from Verona and liked it very much. Chef Arcangelo Dandini in the kitchen and his wife in the dinning room make you feel welcomed and at home. The restaurant is far from the tourist areas and is frequented by locals. The room is small and pleasant and if one... More

I don't really understand why this place is mentioned in all the guides. There is nothing special about it! The famous Carbonara is just fine, but nothing else! The starter, one potato crochet and one suppli', that is considered street food, Costs 15 euros, and I don't really understand why, it' s not special. The same story for the dessert,... More

If you are in Rome, you must stop by this restaurant for a bite! Their pasta is just perfect! Great service too if you ask.

Last night in Rome and this restuarant had been recommended by a wine friend who travels often to Italy. A small menu compared to some places but each dish was superbly prepared and presented. Excellent wine list. Easy walking distance from Campo Di Fiori.

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
